Going down a few days before our husbands. How to handle tickets?

I’m not sure if this is the proper place to ask this or not, but it seemed like it, since it involves tickets.

We are going on a 7-day Disney cruise October 15th with my best friend and her family, and are planning to visit WDW before we sail.

My best friend and I will be leaving from the Washington DC area with our kids on October 8th and driving down to Orlando. It will probably be a two day trip since our kids are three and under and don’t like to be cooped up all day. Our husbands will be flying down on Tuesday night of that week.

We plan to stay at a Disney Hotel in two connecting rooms, if we can get them. My friend and I plan to take our wee ones to a couple of parks in the day or two that we are going to be there, then when our husbands get there, we will go to more parks (and probably repeat a park or two) Wednesday – Friday.

My question is, what is the best way to book this? I figure that my friend and I will get length of stay tickets for the time that we are there, but we don’t want to get our husbands tickets for the time that they won’t be there. Would the best thing to do be to get LOS for us, and then just let the guys buy tickets each day, or is there a way to get two separate LOS tickets both of us, even though we will be in the same room?

Did that make any sense at all?

I would call Disney reservations and tell them your husband will be joining you later in the week. You should be able to purchase your tickets for the whole week and buy his tickets for the amount of time he will be there.

There are no Length of Stay tickets anymore. You must get the new Magic Your Way tickets. You can get them for any length. That means you and your friend can get ones to cover however long your stay will be and you husbands can get them for however long their stay will be.

Read up on the MYW tickets and what you can do with them at Mousesavers or Allearnet.
