Going Back

Nov 2007...wife 50...me 53...son 24...son's GF24 all went for first time...stayed at CSR with dining...MYW...this was GREAT!!!!!!!!!! I actually stood in the middle of main street straring at castle and cried...I was so happy to get there...then next night when we went back...all decorated for Christmas again I just blubbered like a kid...great trip....guess what...now wife and I are going back again Nov 12 2008 for 6 days without the kids...we are staying at POFQ without dining as I felt it was too much food and your reservations hindered what you could do...anyways...can't wait to come back...Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip so much that you want to go back.

We took our first trip 10 years and 12 trips ago. We don't even consider going anywhere else on vacation.

We started planning our June, 2008 trip during the drive home from our June, 2007 trip. Made our reservations in July, 2007 and changed over to a package in August, 2007. I've made over 40 payments on the vacation since then and will have it paid off well prior to my 45 day mark.

There's just nothing like the anticipation of a WDW trip. Well, the actual trip itself but the planningi s great!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. I know EXACTLY how you felt standing looking at the castle. It's an awesome feeling no matter how old we are. It's like when the plane lands and my husband/I look at one another and say...vacation starts now, we're here and get teary eyed. Our son always went with us until last year, so it's been husband/I alone. Our son is now 22. My husband/I will be going in May and hopefully again in Nov. I will leave it at this. Enjoy...Enjoy...Enjoy, life is too short.

Our first family trip was 3 years ago when DS was 8. We're returning this June and can't WAIT!! DS and I made a paper chain that we have strung in our loft. It's a great way to get him out of bed -- Hey, up and at 'em & let's tear off a link for the chain! He's not nearly as grumbly to wake up now!!

I hate the thought of waiting another 3 years to return. DH mentioned taking a trip to Phoenix for spring training next year...I will be teaching & DS will be in school so we can't go. I threw out the idea of DH taking a trip with a buddy next Feb. & DS & I going back to WDW on our own next summer (DH isn't as thrilled with Disney as we are...). We might be on to something here...
