Going Back to U/IOA (mostly for WWOHP)

Took the family to US/IOA a couple years ago and we enjoyed it aside from getting motion sickness on the 3d stuff.
This year my wonderful sister is gifting us DVC points for a 5 night stay at Disney. While there we want to hop to Universal and see WWOHP since when we last went it was under construction. Imagine my excitement to find out that we will be getting 4 FREE tickets for US/IOA from DH's work. I think these tickets are 1 park 1 day passes but I can deal with that! While I wanted to do that big roller coaster that we saw being built in US the kids voted WWOHP (and really I think I want to see it more then I want to ride the coaster since it looks pretty scary to me heheh)
My big question is... How long do you think WWOHP takes? We may hit some other sections of IOA but will probably head back to Disney side for dinner since we have dining plan over there.
If we hit opening could we be leaving by 4 and have seen all that is in the HP area?
Ohhh we are going in Oct 9-14 probably do Oct 12 for IOA.

You are going during the Halloween Horror night time of year and it can get pretty crowded those days. During the week it shouldnt be to bad but on the weekends i have seen it packed that time of year but being early in October is better than later in that month. My advise is get to IOA and do all the Potter stuff first. It really shouldnt take you that long to see and do all the Potter stuff since that area isnt all that large.

Thanks =) We are much more interested in HP then anything else though we will probably get a few other areas in if time allows for it. WWOHP is first on the list.

With some planning and arrival at park open (if not before), all of WWoHP can be done in 4 hours or so. Even less if off-season or if you have Express pass privileges for Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge. FJ does not use Express, but can still be had quickly if you know about the single rider and castle tour queues.

My choice would be Thursday, Oct 13, only because Columbus Day is Monday the 10th. That should be a really nice time to go. Don't know hours, but check Uni's website--if they're even posted yet.
