Going 3/12 staying at POR

Made my reservations for next week, staying thru 3/15 and was wondering if you could give me any tips, what rooms are the best, and what WDW parks are the best for shows, no rides for me. I'm going with my 32 year old daughter, we're spending some quality time together.

I have stayed at POR several times and I prefer the mansions over AB which is more rustic. Of the mansions I believe Magnolia Bend is the only one with an elevator to the second floor. I really enjoyed Parterre Place though. Try to get room facing the river. The resort has absolutely beautiful landscaping.

As far as Theme park shows...I feel that all of the parks have something to offer. But if I was pressed I would say MGM or Epcot!

I love Magnolia Blend - others like the AB building

depends upon your taste.

for shows - MK and Epcot both have nice ones - ask the hotel lobby for the show times. come to think of it Studios and AK also have shows. Some of the AK are probaby the best....

spend some time relaxing around your resort - it is lovely!

We stayed in Oak Manor, which is one of the mansions, and loved the location.

I also have to agree on the shows at AK, especially the Lion King show. Keep in mind this was 3 years ago. They may have changed. I think all of the parks have good shows. Have a great time!! We are staying at AKL on March 17th. Can't wait!

I am going in may I call wdw res line and got a upgrade in pofQ by asking for bld. 7 and asking for a room i read about in the unoffical wd book? if you need the room # from the book let me know they had # for riverside also.
