Hi, all. Lets start a new thread where we can encourage each other by posting our successes, no matter how big or small. Start by posting some goals and then following up in the future by coming back and sharing how you're doing with them. Now I'm not talking about telling us when you've lost 100 pounds or won a weight lifting championship. If you've reached your final goal on something huge, then by all means share it. But I'm talking about baby steps. I'll start. I've copied mine from another thread that I had them on and I've made them all Disney related, because that is working for me for motivation right now.

1) Walk on my treadmill atleast five days a week. Three days a week I'd like to put it on an incline for part of the time to get my heartrate up a little higher. ---Disney related goal---By the week before my Disney trip, I'd like to be able to walk at least 5 miles with no noticable effects the following day and repeat that at least 3 times, hopefully as much as 5 times, during that last week and then take a day off just before my travel day.

2) Get back to drinking 64oz of water a day at the least. :drinking:

3) Give up soda all together, Again! (I've been drinking "diet", but I don't want to drink that either!) No more soda! ---Disney related goal---While I am on vacation, I hope to have absolutely no chance of getting any caffeine headaches and reduced chances of insomnia and other icky effects of soda.

4) Get in the habit of remembering (and actually taking) my multi-vitamin at the same time every morning.

5) Work on organizing and cleaning my home better. I think this will make a big difference to my state-of-mind. And if I have even a little success with it, it will reduce the temptation to resort to convenience foods all of the time. :laundy: ---Disney related goal---I'd like to be organized and calm in those last few days leading up to my trip (relatively speaking, that is), and not frustrated and crazy worrying about forgetting a lot of stuff. :smooth:

And starting right off with a success:
After much struggling (won't elaborate on that because the positive is the point of the thread) I have gotten back in the habit of walking on my treadmill! Hooray. :woohoo: I walked for 1.6 miles this morning and am hoping to go for 1.7 miles tomorrow morning.
And I have been taking my vitamins fairly well. I've had them today anyway! Along with my vitamins I'm making some awesome homemade yogurt and eating some everyday! I am loving it because it tastes great and I'm getting practically no sugar with it, like I got back when I used to eat lot of store bought yogurt. There is another hooray. :woohoo:

I guess I could chime in here in this one.

I made my goal.

Back five or six months ago I posted here on the Wish board of my current over weight issue and vent -- it was 163. I just had a baby and I was nursing. I promised and eventually I just made my goal of 143. I just made the goal of 143 a couple of days ago. With originally doing the South Beach diet, then watching my bad carbs and jogging and walking lots and lots....... I lost 20 pounds. I'm 5' 8"1/2 and I'm a size 8.

But you know what, I still have some flab around the belly area. So I will slowly and surely now try to go down to 138. I was 133 when I conceived my baby #4.

It can be done -- just move more and eat less. Don't eat after 7:00 p.m. Drink water and DO IT!!!!!!

I got on my treadmill today and walked 1.7 miles--might not seem like much to some, but a good acheivement for me, since I have finally gotten used to my new "orthotics" and have been able to start wearing them when I exersize. Today I was able to do 1.4 miles pain free. :woohoo: And then another .2 with just a little discomfort. I am really happy with this situation.
