We are looking to dine at all new places during our next trip. It will be over 3 years since our last trip to WDW so I'm sure there are many places to try. We've been to (in no order):

Cal Grill
Olivia's but only half of our party
Crystal Palace
Tony's
Chef Mickey's
CRT
Boma
Marakkesh
'Ohana
Mama Melrose
Raglan Road
Coral Reef
Sci-Fi but only half of our party

We are not picky at all and like good service. There will be 6 of us ages 45, 43, 15, 14, 13, 11.

Thanks for any suggestions. :goodvibes We are looking for 6-7 TS. :thanks:

If your interested in Signatures, then my family really liked Narcoossee's, Flying Fish, and Brown Derby (good deal if you want to see Fantasmic). For non-Signatures, we liked Whispering Canyon Cafe and Kona Cafe for breakfast. For lunch we liked Via Napoli, Le Cellier, and Yak & Yeti.

All TS are on the table. :thumbsup2 We won't be on the dining plan, like our appetizers, share often, and enjoy a good drink and wine. We may have the TiW card.

I have heard that Kona's coffe and macademia nut pancakes are awesome! Might be good for a later breakfast. Via is the newer Italian in Epcot, rt? We had an ADR both trips for Le Cellier and ended up canceling both. :upsidedow

Flying Fish has been on my mind as wanting to try. Is Brown Derby a buffet?

50's Prime Time would be fun with that group I bet!

I;d also add in Kona and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

50's looks really fun. I have read reviews on WCC- how's the food? We don't each much pork but on vacation we cheat and have a little bacon. ;) Are ribs the main fare?

I've only got the all you can eat skillet- it's got ribs, brisket, chicken, I think pulled pork, corn bread, mashed potatoes, beans, corn on the cob and salad.

(bacon is the gateway meat you know)

:rotfl: Love it! DH eats no pork and it's a bummer because the antics at WCC look fun with the ketchup and all. Do they still do that? He does like brisket and chicken. Worth looking into :thanks:

Citricos and Flying Fish are tied on top of our list of WDW restaurants. The food and service at both are nothing short of fantastic. Citricos is much more adult in atmosphere, so the kids may get pretty board if they are not used to that sort of restaurant. Jiko is another great Signature that you may enjoy and Sanaa may be the best "1 TS" restaurant on property.

Cape May has a pretty good character breakfast in the morning (good food, good interaction and not nearly as hectic as most other character meals) and a non-character buffet for dinner with a nice selection. Tusker House has a pretty good character breakfast at AK. We haven't done lunch there so I can't comment on that. We also like the 1900 PF character breakfast and usually opt for a late morning ADR to break up a day at MK a bit.

:thanks: No dining plan here so credits don't matter. Honestly, I am totally not a fan of the dining plan but will reserve my opinion for that section of the boards. ;) Saana is on my for sure list. :thumbsup2 We'll be at the AKV for part of the trip and I really like to try to the resorts restaurants when we are staying there. Total immersion. :cloud9: Jiko is another that has caiught my eye. My love and appreciate good food so there are no issues there.

I was wanting do do one character meal. I like the idea of a late breakfast after an early morning in the parks. Cape May is at the Beach Club right? Logistically, I'm also trying to keep in mind that we'll be dependant upon Disney's transportation system. We haven't been in almost 3 years and I'm thinking I need to give us 45 minutes to get from A to B most of the time when using the busses.

Because we'll be at SSR for part of the trip, I'm tossing around The Turf Club, any thoughts?

If you have read these boards then you will see that the Turfs Club according to guests is a hidden treasure, I would try that FOR SURE.. I LOVED Narccosse's last May.. We had an incredible table looking out at the lagoon and the food was fantastic.. the pricing is NOT for the faint of heart though, we were on deluxe dining so it didn't bother us, but if we were paying OOP I probably would have had sticker shock.. $180 and that was with just 1 drink..
I am trying Flying Fish as well this time.. Have you thought of trying any of the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin? Although I wasnt thrilled with Il Mulino (which on this board gets HIGH reviews as the best italian restaurant in all of disney area) I would definitely still go back to try Shula's (which consistently gets really high reviews) and Blue Zoo which is also one of the top restaurants..

Easy! Here are the restaurants I would choose, in no order:

Kouzzina
Jiko
Sanaa
The Grand Floridian Café
The Kona Café
Bluezoo

I think your idea is a great one! I want to do the same on our next trip. I want to try a ton of new places not the same ole' same ole'.

:rotfl: Love it! DH eats no pork and it's a bummer because the antics at WCC look fun with the ketchup and all. Do they still do that? He does like brisket and chicken. Worth looking into :thanks:

I bet if you keep kosher or Halal, asking them to not include the pork items, but replace with extra chicken/beef would not be an unreasonable expectation. We've had antics every experience- varying levels. The last server we had was a "grumpy cowboy" named Bob, and he was hysterical. So much so I want to request him if he's on when we are there in a couple of weeks.

We are doing the same thing on our next trip because we decided we want to eventually try every restaurant and every resort. So here are some that we have tried and like

Grand Floridian Cafe Dinner
Kona Cafe Dinner
Artist Point
50's Prime Time
Yak & Yeti
San Angel INN
Nine Dragons
1900 Park Fare breakfast (lobster eggs Benedict and strawberry soup)

Both 50's and WCC are fun; we prefer 50's simply for the atmosphere. While WCC has the adorable pony races, the interaction you receive at 50's is far superior.

I would recommend if your willing to use 2TS to try Hoop Dee Doo. From the description of your party I would imagine you would all have a blast. It is fun entertainment for all ages and we LOVE their fried chicken and strawberry shortcake! I'm drooling just thinking about it!

The macademia nut pancakes are really good. They are basically pancakes with pieces of macademia nuts in the batter. On top is the macademia nut butter and pineapple. Really yummy!

Yes, Via Napolia is the newer Italian at Epcot. I would have also recommended Tutto Italia, but it's undergoing major renovations in 2012. The rumors are that there will be a new menu.

Flying Fish has been on my mind as wanting to try. Is Brown Derby a buffet?

Brown Derby is not a buffet. However, the menu is the same for lunch and dinner (both meals are 2 credits).

We really like Kona for dinner and Cape May Cafe* for both breakfast and dinner. Both the food and service Narcoosee's was outstanding, as was Turf Club. Definitely a hidden treasure!

*If you're at CMC, ask for Genesis. He's the best server ever! He brings my ginger ale and my DH's cranberry juice to the table whether or not he's serving us.

:thanks: Kona for dinner or breakfast or both?

I hadn't even thought of places at the Swan/Dolphin. I'll go check out their menus. What did you order at Narccosse's. The view sounds heavenly. :cloud9:

I think some of the less popular resort restaurants get a little overlooked which is great for me. I felt the same way about Olivia's.

Easy! Here are the restaurants I would choose, in no order:

Kouzzina
Jiko
Sanaa
The Grand Floridian Café
The Kona Café
Bluezoo

Hmm...another vote for the Grand Floridian Cafe. What do you order there? Kouzzina, Greek? We love Greek food.

I think your idea is a great one! I want to do the same on our next trip. I want to try a ton of new places not the same ole' same ole'.

I am such a hater of change  but trying to step outside of the box. Where are you looking to try?

I bet if you keep kosher or Halal, asking them to not include the pork items, but replace with extra chicken/beef would not be an unreasonable expectation. We don't keep kosher as we have only one kitchen at home  but we don't eat shellfish or pork at home. DH hates pork altogether. My middle DD, due to medical reasons, has no dietary limitaions and would eat bacon every meal if I'd allow it. :lmao: She's a baconista! Good idea bout replacing the pork with brisket or chicken. :thumbsup2 I am looking for one antic type meal and WCC would fill that. So would 50's or a character meal. Decision, decisions......

San Angel- I have always wanted to try it. I've also wanted to try Teppan Edo but hear that's like any Japanese Steak House. My kids love them though. It's a toss between 50's and WCC. :hyper: What ones are you thinking about for your next trip?

Both 50's and WCC are fun; we prefer 50's simply for the atmosphere. While WCC has the adorable pony races, the interaction you receive at 50's is far superior.

We won't be on the dining plan so credits don't matter. Hoop Dee Doo does sound like fun. My son loves corny jokes and the like. I also love friend chicken and strawberry shortcake!

The macademia nut pancakes are really good. They are basically pancakes with pieces of macademia nuts in the batter. On top is the macademia nut butter and pineapple. Really yummy!

Brown Derby is not a buffet. However, the menu is the same for lunch and dinner (both meals are 2 credits).

:thanks: I love anything with nuts and carbs so those pancakes sounds perfect. I am not a buffet person so I'll check out Brown Derby.

Turf Club is in for sure! :woohoo: Cape May is in the running for breakfast too.

We generally like to grab a quick something in the villa in the morning and then break for a decent late breakfast or early lunch. We will end up making DH cook a dinner or two as he really is the best untrained chef ever. Thus far, my musts are:

Saana
The Turf Club

Keep them coming, this is awesome! :goodvibes

Hmm...another vote for the Grand Floridian Cafe. What do you order there? Kouzzina, Greek? We love Greek food.

We've been to the Grand Floridian Café for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, the maple vanilla French toast and the lobster eggs Benedict are both excellent. We hear great things about their traditional eggs Benedict, the omelette and the frittata as well. For lunch we loved the Grand Floridian Burger, the Grand Sandwich and the Orecchiette Pasta of the Day. We'll be trying dinner for the first time in February and have high hopes.

Kouzzina is outstanding for breakfast and dinner. There's a good mix of American and Mediterranean flavors at both meals. It's not strictly Greek, but I highly recommend it.
