Go to TL on Thanksgiving Day?

Right now I'm trying to fine tune my itinerary for 11/18 - 11/25.

Currently I have us going to TL on Monday (the UG says earlier in the week is better), and AK on Thanksgiving Day. Now I'm thinking maybe I should switch and go to AK on Monday and TL on Thursday.

Any idea how crowded it would be at TL on Thanksgiving? I know MK & Epcot will be crowded which is why we are avoiding those parks. We do have 7:15 ADRs for HDDR that night.

When I checked the DW calendars several weeks ago, I thought that TL and BB were closed at that time. Just check the DW website and click on calendar. We're going the same time you are!

One water park is always open. BB will be closed while we are there.

Thank you. I don't know why I thought that I had seen that. I didn't think it made sense.
My boys really want to go and I told them they'll have to wait until their 2nd trip in a few years when they are a little older so they can enjoy it even more. Maybe, I will surprise them, if there is a way to fit it in and also weather depending.

I would think that less people would go to a waterpark on Thanksgiving day. We have the PAP and go to the water parks often. I've found the first 2 hours and the last 3 hours the parks open to be the least crowded. If I have out of town guests with me, we hit the most popular slides first and save the wave pool for later. If I want to be sure to hit everything with them, we usually use the lazy river to transport us to each area. My suggestion to avoid the long lines is to hit the slush and gusher and the family slide very early when you get there. Also, if you are planning to do Shark reef keep in mind that the water isn't heated. Even so, the lines seem to be the longest from about 1pm on. I've seen the line out past the pearl stand a couple hours before closing, and that line wraps around the back of the building and another line at the entry pool.
