NYCDiane - I'll be sending late this week as we're stuck out in PA...We came out over the weekend for a family reunion and when we tried to come home yesterday, the car wouldn't start. We called AAA and they brought it to a local dealer and it needs a new alternator which arrived this morning and the dealer said they'll have us on our way later today. I suppose if the car was going to die I'm glad it happened in the hotel parking lot as opposed to on the highway, esp. with 3 little ones in the car.
I'll put in a plug for for Hyundai's most excellent warranty as all the parts and labor are covered under warranty (we bought our Entourage new 3 years ago) and the warranty includes "trip interruption" so they'll reimburse us for our extra night at the hotel and our food.So from a budget standpoint it's not too bad and DH and I are just missing an extra day of work.
My only complaint is that the hotel couldn't give us the room we originally had and we ended up in a smoking room... no offense to all the smokers out there but it's a tad stinky in here... but just like at Disney your options are limited when you've got more than 4 in your family.

but the good parts are good. Thank goodness for AAA! I let my membership expire a couple years ago and tried a different road service....big mistake. Now I've got AAA on auto renewal. (I love my Hyundai Sonata and its warranty as well!)

Quick savings note-I went to Target last night and picked up 4-10 packs of Bic Crystal Pens (2 blue, 1 black, and 1 red.) They are only .60 each plus there is a coupon on target.com for $1/2 Bic products. Using the coupon they came to only .20 for 2 packages. That's 1 cent each! The coupon restricts you to only 1 coupon per transaction so I had DD10 get in line with 2 of the packages and $1. Got back 78 cents, after tax.
njsm, I have to apologize because I haven't sent your envelope out yet, in fact I haven't even cut out the coupons.Unfortunately I had a aunt pass away on Thursday and she lived an hour and a half away...needless to say, I have not been home much the last three days. My goal tonight is to go thru the coupons and get a envelope out to you tomorrow.
Be careful out there, it can get HOT! I think ACs across the country are running overtime this year.
