I am also spending the next week with in-laws at the lake. We get two bathrooms though, but there will be 12 of us. I just heard my DSISIL say that if the alcohol didn't make it in the boat for the trip up, she wasn't going.I use the term vacation loosely...it will be with lots of family in a house with one full bath. Perhaps wine will help make it relaxing. I should come back with some decent stories though

Eyor, you had me worried AGAIN
I totally agree about Thanksgiving. Go early in the week or wait until the week AFTER Thanksgiving. The crowds are low and the weather is usually fabulous. We often try to get there then because the Christmas decorations are wonderful especially the Osborne Family Lights at DHS.
Laptop is well and good. No, I ended up with a migrane on Tuesday and then we left on Wednesday to head North. There was no Dising on Wednesday at the hotel as I was using DH's work laptop to finish up work. (yes, we both have to work on vacation 
) Air cards are wonderful and we are going to look into getting one for our personal use. Makes the ride go so much faster. 
But I can't DIS on the work laptop. They frown on stuff like that. We arrived to NY late last night, so today was the first day since Monday that I have been able to be on.

Until 2 years ago we had a whole week in October but they took that away. Now it is 1 day in September, 2 days in October, and 3 days in November. By Christmas all the students are ready to pull each other apart because they have spent SO much time together. Think of the scene in National Lampoons Vacation when the kids are in the back seat elbowing each other. Yep that is pretty much the entire day by the time Christmas break gets there.
