+1000. GO PHILS!!

Nah, as long as everyone knows the Phils are the better team!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :woohoo:

I didn't watch the Phils, but I DID watch the Rays!! Not seeing the Phils play, I can't make a prediction....but we'll see what happens Wednesday!!

Okay now..... the title of this thread is "Go Rays"!!! If you want to talk Phillies, start your own thread!! (I'm a sore loser.)

Game one..... it was all about the pitching!!

Due to the rain delay, I fell asleep during the 5th inning of last night's game. Dang it...the Ray's must have fallen asleep, too.:headache: Kudos to Jamie Moyer, though.

I'm still cheering for the Angels. I keep hoping I'll wake up and discover that their belly-flop in the postseason was all just a bad dream.

I'm still hoping someone beats the Red Sox. Oh wait, they did! :thumbsup2

Just watched a video of the game-ending hit by Philly. That would have been a hard inning to watch for a Rays fan. I don't understand, though, why the Rays intentionally walked 2 batters to load the bases.

There were no outs, so a double play would not have prevented a run from scoring. They had the same tactical situation whether the bases were loaded or just a runner on third. Seemed odd to me that they would load up the bases and feed the crowd, all for no advantage to them. :confused3

I guess those guys can't play ball in the cold

I also had the dubious thought that the players are told to lose 3 games each so the ticket sales are there, the concession sales, TV ads, etc. Look at all the money that would be lost if one team won 4 in a row. Three games worth of lost revenue. Then on the 7th game...let er rip!

Uh...football only has ONE super bowl. Hmmmm, makes me wonder.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh yeah

:cool1: :cool1:   :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I watched the 1980 game with my sister and my (then, sadly not now) best friend in a local bar where we knew lots of people. Great fun! I watched this win with DD (DH was at his best friend's home as said friend - age 56 - is recovering from a quadruple bypass and just came home yesterday) and it was pretty sweet. She was hoping to see some of the girls from her school on tv - knew 3 or 4 that had been and were going back - but sadly, no such luck. We had fireworks in the neighborhood but didn't go out to see them because - it's TOO COLD.

Gotta love the Phils!!

The Rays played a great game. Kudos to their hitters and pitchers.
(see, I did remember that the thread was devoted to TB.)
