I am pregnant with DD #2 due June 13th. I would love to take my 2.5 yo DD to Disney now because she is so full of the Disney magic. She adores all the films and is amazing at recognizing characters and such. She literally begs me daily to go to Disney (even though she can't possibly know what that means). She wants to see Tinkerbell! We did the Disney cruise with her last year (20 months old) and that is when she fell in love with the characters. She isn't afraid of them at all. She is very outgoing.
So, I would like to take her but it would be now or not until next year. I would want to go by early to mid April because I don't want to be too pregnant in hot weather down there.
So my dilemma is:
Go now with HIGH crowds and one child under 3
or wait until Jan '06 (end of) and go with 7 month old and 3 year old???
Which makes more sense? I wonder if Disney would be too much right after Christmas? This will be my DD first Christmas "back home" with ALL the family (my sibs, grandparents, cousins, etc...) and we will have been home for 3 weeks with a short break at our home before Disney....
Our original plans (before DD started begging) was to wait until Nov '06 and spend a week or more there in our camper.
Hope this is readable!!
Thanks!

I'd say go now as a becoming a "big sister" present. This will be one of the few times that you'll get to spend alone with her so making it special would be great.

That is a tough one. Do you like to ride the bigger rides? Because if you do you wouldn't be able to and I would say go in Jan '06.

Depends how you feel right now. Are you up to all that walking? I know at 6months preg. I wouldn't be able to do WDW. But some woman's pregnancies are better than others.
IMHO, I'd do Jan. We go every year then and it can't be beat for the lack of crowds. Yes the weather can be cool sometimes, but no waiting in lines beats out warm weather everytime.

Go later.
She won't remember this trip - she's too young (long-term memory doesn't start until later in life) - and she will enjoy it even more next year, I assure you! :)

(I have four daughters who vary in age) :)

They are all still REAAAALLLY into princesses.

It isn't hard to travel with a 7 month old at all, either. So, I'd wait it out.

What if you could do both. Would you go now, due to crowds and such. Or at least now and our original plan of Nov '06 so the 'baby' will be almost 1.5 yo.
We are really thinking about heading down this Wednesday, if reservations work out.
Oh, and I almost pee'ed in my pants tonight! Just as we were going over the pro's and cons of going now, I received my FIRST discount email from Disney. But it is good only for $150 disney dollars if we stay 6 nights or more from April 02 - 30th!! If it had been a discount code I would have been all over that!!
As it is, we are only going (IF we go) now for 2 or 3 nights. Just a taste of the parks for DD.
In January (or Nov) we will make it a week (6+ nights) because we will be in our trailer. This time it will be in a value resort (IF we go! LOL)
Thanks!!!

I say wait for January. You will feel much better and you eliminate the risk of premature deliverey while away from home. January is so wonderful. No crowds, and low price. A week is much better that a few days as you will not feel so pushed to see it all. You can also make memories with your new little one. Seven month should be a easy time to take him or her.

Good luck choosing.
