When I went on the cruise with just my girls, I never did eat at Palo. I regretted it...so my vote is to go for it! The servers there are SO accommodating from what I've heard, that I'm sure they would go overboard to make you feel comfortable!
Do ANY meal alone...the servers are so friendly that I doubt you would feel uncomfortable. At high tea, even though hubby and I were together, we ended up chatting with others at two of the other tables. If I were alone, I wouldn't hesitate to go, although I'll never have that problem because hubby is hooked on that place...I swear he would eat there every night if he could.

Go with DIS friends!
Last year I went to the wine tasteing alone, then saw that it was mostly couples then...I heard my name called and it was a DIS couple! They invited me to join them and we had a wonderful time!
This year we are doing Brunch with 30 DIS'ers!
Hang around this board enough and you'll have pleanty of friends by the time you cruise.
Our Dis group is now over 100 people (34 Dis'ers and their families)
I would not skip Palo's. I'm sure you could be seated with another couple or group and still have a great time. It's worth doing...believe me, and everyone else on these boards.
You can still experience all the joys and wonders that your trip will bring. I hope you can work past everything and enjoy this trip to the utmost.
I don't have a partner but plan on doing Paolo's!
I even started a thread asking 'cause I know how
some people get nervous when they see a solo person
but everyone was great here and convinced me that it is "Not
a Problem"
Why forgo something 'cause your DH is being a .......!
Enjoy your trip and make it "Magical" for your child (and yourself)!
