GMAC's Listings,...

Are the listing posted on GMAC's site udated. Everytime I check they seem to be the same.

I'm just curious if those are "samples" of what can be had.

At the Timeshare Store you can actually see them come and go, often very quickly.

I contacted them a few weeks ago about some listings on their website. 1/2 of them were sold already but they continued to be listed for a couple of more weeks without showing any pending sale. From that I would say they do not update very often.

When I bought an add-on through GMAC, they had many more listings besides those on the website. The one I bought was not listed and was a great contract.

Same here. I called and there were several contracts that were what we were looking for that were not listed on the website. They have been terrific to deal with. We tentatively close in 2 weeks.

I have an offer on a GMAC contract that is listed on the website. Within 24 hours of my signing the contract they had the site updated to reflect that contract is pending.

I did not get any response to emails or phone messages regarding one of their listings that looked particularly attractive.

I got an email the next day saying that my email was sent to a DVC specialist. I ended up getting a tip from a friend about a contract that they had for sale and called her first.

Just what I was thinking, TS is awesome with their listings. You get to know exactally what is there, and what is not, before you contact them. They also appear to update their offerings quickly. Like I said you can see them come and go.

I agree. Their website leaves a lot to be desired. However, I think they have access to contracts that may not be listed with their office. I know when I recently called, they had a few VB listings posted (no UY or details on points available) but told me about several more that were available. Since you can't see UY or points available, I'm not sure if my contract was one they had listed or not.

One resale agent who has access to GMAC listings is Jaki Apetz of **********.com. I'd been looking at GMAC listings but was very leery of contacting them after hearing that several people on these boards have had problems with them. When I told Jaki what we were looking for, she didn't have anything in her own inventory but looked at the GMAC listings and found something for us there. Give her a call and she can look for you.

Some DVC listings are on the MLS. That is why you can see the same contract listed at several sites.

Lately the complaints I have been hearing are not with GMAC. My purchase has gone so smoothly that I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. They have more listings than anyone else and many more small point contracts than the others. I have gotten a phone call once we clear every step of the way.
