GM Discount on Passes?

I read someplace that General Motors employees can get a discount on WDW tickets. Does anyone know anything about this? My DH works for GM but never has a clue about what offers are available to him. Actually, if he does, he certainly doesn't advertise it to me! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Have him check with his HR dept. If there are any discounts for GM emploees, they will know about it.

I too would suggest his HR section of his company. I have heard that GM employees get to bypass the line at test track and go to the exit to ride the ride. I imagine you just show your GM ID to the CM. (Unless that has changed.)

GM employees still get front of the line passes for test track. There is an employee lounge that is open M-F.. 9-5. Or after those hours you can go thru the gift shop & sign in at the desk to the left in the show room to get your passes. They do have to see your work ID.
We sometimes see people look at the long line and all the fast passes are gone and start to walk away. we will take them to the front of the line to ride with us. It is really neat when it is people that have never been on TT before.

Thanks for the great info! I knew that GM used to offer free membership to the Disney Club, but that went out and I didn't know it was replaced it with any other benefit. I'd never heard of the perk at test track!! Thanks again!!

Both my Mom, Dad and FIL are all retired GM employees - how would they go about getting these passess? Certainly appreciate your help.

socrates is the gm website for employees. the employee needs his gm id # and a password. it is also where you can price out vehicles and see employee incentives.

Hope your feeling better Thank You for the info. I just logged on the GM website and everytime i clicked on marketplace it said page cannot be displayed. I called a number for purchasing vehicles and she got the same thing. she said they must be working on it so i will try again tomorrow.
Everytime in the past i tried to go for the discounts for disney our personel dept was not very helpful and told me they didn't think they were available any longer.

Thanks for the info. Is Socrates something we can get into from our home PC? If so, do you know what the website address is? Unfortunately, trying to get DH into HR is like pulling teeth!! I appreciate all information on this.

If you work for GM you will know what Tier 1 means - for others it is that you supply product directly to GM. Does anyone know if the Tier 1 Suppliers also get a Disney discount? We do get the auto purchase discount - although I can't remember what it is right now.

I still can't get into the market place to find out about the gm discount tickets It still says page cannot be displayed. Do you remember what the prices are? We are planning a trip to wdw and this info could be helpful. Did you have to order them online or go to HR dept at work? Thanks
