My friend always checks the individual websites for their gluten free menu and then asks to speak to the manager or chef when he gets to the restaurant.
I'd think Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Red Lobster would all have good menus - they're all owned by the same company (Darden, I think it's called). Check their website.

It would give him the privacy that he had already requested for some alone time. (He IS the one who wanted to know the week before if I had booked a junior suite for said reasons) AND price is only about $1000 more for this suite than a regular kids suite.
