Just wanted to see if there was anyone on the boards that have had experience with GF dining in the parks, DTD, or the Hotels???
We have done the GF dining at Story Tellers the past couple trips and I have a list from both parks of the places that have offerings that are GF but I really would like to hear what others have experienced.
What is good???
I really hate trying to eat out GF but Disney does seem to offer a variety of GF options compared to say a local dining facility that may have no clue what you are talking about when requesting it.

If anyone has any experience with Disney and GF dining please share here what your experince was and what you found to be tasty as well as any photos you may have a GF foods offered at DL resort.

Thanks so much for your input.:)

I don't have personal experience, but I have vegetarian GF friends and we were there together, so I know it can be done. We just didn't eat together, (except to have snacks at the fresh fruit/veggie stand) so I don't know what they did/where they went, but I know they did it.

Hopefully someone here has some experience with that.

Here are some pictures of gluten free food at Disneyland:

MondayLunch.jpg

This is the gluten free hot dog bun from Coke Corner on Main Street. It was absolutely delicious. When you go to order just tell the cast member that you need a gluten free bun (the hot dogs they use are gluten free). They will tell you to wait about ten to fifteen minutes so they can defrost the bun. It's worth the wait. I have to say, the gluten free buns looked so much better than everyone else's regular buns.

I also loved the gluten free pizza at Storyteller's Cafe.

SundayDinner.jpg

On the left is gluten free pasta from PCH Grill. It was very good.

TuesdayLunch.jpg

Here is a piece of chicken and some grapes from Wine Country Trattoria. The chicken was kind of plain, but the grapes were really good.

TuesdayDessert.jpg

The orange sorbet from Wine Country Trattoria is very good.

Pancakes.jpg

Here are gluten free pancakes from PCH Grill's Lilo and Stitch Aloha Breakfast. The chef offered to put fresh fruit in the pancakes, but I chose to have them plain.

I hope these pictures helped! :)

Jennifer thank you SO much for posting this! I was stressing about this, as this is all "new" to me. Glad to see they'll have so many choices :). The pics really helped, too.

Wow!! those look better than food with gluten in them. LOL Thanks for posting the pics, so you just ask for gluten free at each restaurant? My BFF has a gluten allergy so this is really good news for her. :)

When you first arrive at Disneyland go to City Hall and ask for a gluten free dining list. When you are at California Adventure go to the guest relations lobby for a list. It will tell you what safe foods Disneyland/California Adventure offers at their counter service restaurants. If you go to a sit down restaurant at one of the parks, Downtown Disney, or resort hotel, just ask to speak with the chef. They will come out and tell you what they can make for you.

I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!!
Thanks so much to those that replied with helpful hints and yummy and tasty looking pictures!!!!
I can't wait for our next Disneyland GF moment!!!!
I do agree with one of the posters that most of the GF foods look better than the normal or as my daughter calls it glutified foods!!!!
We have enjoyed coming up with our own variety of GF foods at home and I found a way to make everything that has gluten in it GF......well with the exception of OREO COOKIES.....YUMMY...We miss!!!

a little:offtopic:

Tonight I just made our first ever from scratch chicken pot pie....time consuming to make but the filling turned out great....now it is in the oven and I hope that the GF crust truns out just as nice!!!

We started craving pot pie the other day when we saw someone eating a Marie Calenders pot pie......yummy!!

Anyhow thank you everyone so much for taking the time to post!!!!
