Okay I'll ask I'm currently unemployed my temp job last year ran out and so far no luck. I do have the state medical so I will ask my PCP. I do believe my grandmother had celiac. She had lots of health issues and stomach issues in particular almost her whole life and in her later years(60's-70's) was diagnosed with Chrohn's disease which I take it is linked with it. She has keritosis pilaris which runs with both gluten intolerance and celiacs both and she often complains of a tummy ache after eating. So I'm going to make a point to journal what she eats and see what days it bothers her most. I'm also aware omega 3 deficiencies can cause it too when I put her onto soymilk at a year I supplemented it with flax oil to "fatten" it up. The spots/rashes came on not long after I stopped doing that and it is a good source of omega 3 so possibilities but I'm going to see if any of these help it. Its not bothersome to her but me as a mother become concerned something is not right somewhere. So far she seems to be growing normally not delayed anywhere she was a slow gainer in her earlier years though. She's been a picture of health other than these food issues(milk) and a few ear infections over the years alongside normal cold type stuff that she never complained about. Not flus, strep none of that.

She has only vomited once in her whole life and it was after taking a prescribed cough med with the last ear infection a couple months back. That was the first time she had a sick visit since she was 3(so over 3 years without incident of illness). Usually celiacs has lots of health issues but not always there are a range of sensitives and I know a neg test does not always mean you aren't sensitive or having issues. That would make sense that it doesn't come out. I hear it is a hard thing to diagnose.
I suppose it may be worth a chance even to get her into her ped to be tested too since I know the genetics run with this one. I didn't realize the testing was effected by being on the GF diet so thanks.
We are both mild to moderately lactose intolerant as well. Could it be the casein or whey you are avoiding maybe on the lactose issues? They seem to go along with wheat gluten products. I suspect its actually the milk proteins dd had issues with more than just lactose. She was a soy kid after she stopped nursing(had some minimal soy formula supplements though). LOL Still loves her soy milk and frozen edamame to this day.
