Gluten Free and CLub Level Atrium

Hi Guys

I am going to surprise my Hubby and 2 kids with 1 Night at the Contemporary club level.. BUT one daughter can eat everything and one daughter has Celiac Disease. Has anyone experienced this and if Gluten Free Options are made available?

I have not been there specifically, but let the club level IPO know and also remind them at check in and yes, they will have option. They should have some separate pre-packaged goodies or they will put you in contact with a chef.

Because it is a one-night thing, you may have to get items directly from a chef. I know for our club level stay at YC they would set some goodies aside marked with people's names and it took a few days after he got put on the list before they had anything quick. In the end it took an entire week before they had anything due to glitch so I would add in a little extra time if you plan to eat in the CL lounge just in case. It took 15-20 minutes at breakfast and often closer to a 30-45 minutes for evening snacks. Your need being only gluten they might have a few extra gluten free items set aside, my DS is allergic to all of the standard celiac foods.

They aren't really set up to deal with allergies well. It took asking about allergy safe foods MULTIPLE times including calling ahead to get anything. I really just wanted ingredients and things that had not been put out and cross contaminated and it was really difficult. The first day I had nothing other than what I could pull from the regular stuff--an orange and coffee. They did slightly better the next 2 days but never my own apps or desserts like a few have gotten. Bring treats! Also they left a special fancy chocolate/candy item with no allergy/ingredient info available in our room so be prepared with something special for the other child.
