I was just in Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and didn't see a single pair of these. None on visitors and none in shops. I got a pair at a D23 event in WDW and although the affect is really wonderful, the actual hats are heavy, don't fit well, and are hard to turn off. Hopefully they are working on V2 and they will be around for awhile.
They take 3 AAA batteries each and seem to ride a bit high on the head due to the battery compartment. I think the idea is neat, but with LED technology I wouldn't think you'd need that many batteries...
