Glow with show ears... bring them or leave them?

We bought these at WDW last year at the MNSSHP during our Halloween trip. They worked with the villain show, HalloWishes, regular Wishes, even at Fantasmic, but not too many people had them on. How popular are they at DL? Will the WDW versions work at DL shows/areas? Just wondering if it is worth it to take up a good chunk of luggage space to pack these for our trip!

Personally, I'd skip it. My mom bought a pair the day they were released (and they were really pushing the sales) at WDW for Fantasmic. It was great there at the time because there were plenty of people wearing them. When we did World of Color at DCA in March, I was surprised to see hardly anyone wearing them. Like probably 20 or less?

It seems they haven't taken off quite as much as Disney hoped they might. (I liked them!)

I have three pairs, they never go with me anymore. It's sad that even the CMs working WOC don't wear them. I've seen WOC, F!, and Winter WOC all with the entire audience in glow ears and it was AMAZING. With a handful scattered around, the effect is lost.

I have a pair, but the 2 times I've brought them I decided not to wear them. They are just too uncomfortable for me. It's a very cool concept and it's cool to see them light up in sync with the music, but they're really bulky and have been more of a hassle to deal with. I have no idea if the WDW ears work at DL.

FWIW, the WDW ears do work the same at DL.

We bought some two years ago in DL. Originally, I thought my toddler would find them amusing. But they ended up just sitting in our hotel room the entire time. This time around, we are just leaving them behind. They didn't feel comfortable to me and so I know I probably won't wear them either. I'd rather have that little bit of space for something else. But if you know you'll probably wear them I'd say take them! They are a lot of fun, I did stick it on top of the stroller at DL. I just dont see the sense in dragging them back and forth if no one in my family will wear them.

I'm dragging mine. It was disappointing more didn't have them on. And one night during Wishes, someone must have forgot to flip the switch as they all just kept randomly changing color -- nothing coordinated with the music. I think we'll have space and they cost too much to not at least try to use again. We have a stroller so it's not such a big deal to haul them around all day.

We travel to DL a lot and have seen people with the WOC ears but not as many as you'd think but I love to watch them during the shows, I think they are super cute. I've seen them light up during the fantasmic, fireworks and WOC show.

Thanks for your input, everyone! We are deciding not to bring our glow ears. It doesn't sound like they are that popular in DL, either. So we won't feel left out if we don't have them. It is also a hassle to bring them into the park and they are really heavy/ uncomfortable to wear the whole time! We will just have to appreciate others wearing them during the shows.

When we original bought our ears, the night of the show, not as many people had them on , it was a little disappointing , the the fallowing year it seemed like every other person had them on and it really added to the show

I say bring them the 2nd time for us was well worth it...

If Disney was smart, they'd give you a pair when you go into the WoC watching area and collect them at the end like they do 3-D glasses. They can then sell better versions that are personalized, etc for those that want them.
