For those of you who buy the Glow Necklaces, where do you all get them? I have seen them at the Dollar Tree. I am a little concerned about buying them there after seeing someone elses post stating that they don't work very well. I want to take them for my kids and their cousins. I would hate to get there, open a pack and not have them work. Where else can I buy them for a reasonable price?

I found someone on ebay that sells them in lots of 25 for really cheap. I was searching for camping gear at the time, and they came up in the sporting goods section. Might be worth a look!

My DH bought a boxed set of glow necklaces (and bracelets, earrings, and glasses) at Ocean State Job lot for $1.99

I bought some at Target the other day. They were in the party goods aisle.

if you do a search on e bay you will find alot i got 200 for .01 but the shipping was 1998. so 200 for 20.00 pretty go :flower: od

I have purchased twice from Illuminationz (from recommendations on the Dis). 100 bracelets assorted colors with shipping is 14.49. The connectors are also included so you can make necklaces, etc. Both times I purchased - the shipping was incredibly fast. And they ship in this easy to pack tube. I highly recommend. I am not affiliated with the company in any way - just passing along one of the best recs I have gotten on the Dis.

My kids in our group had so much fun with these. They put them together as we waited for the crowds to clear a bit - then as we walked out they were passing them out to all the other kids. It was so nice to see the huge smiles light up on all the tired sleepy children as they received one last bit of magic while walking out of the park.

Thank you for the information, I saw this site. I get nervous ordering from somewhere on the web that I have never heard of before. So now that I know someone that has ordered from them, I can order.

I know exactly what you mean. I was also hesitant. I have no complaints with either of my orders -- only word of advice is don't expect a lot of emails like when you order from LL Bean, or Eddie Bauer, etc., that say "rcvd your order" "order is being shipped" etc. And to whoever originally recommended this - thank you! :love1:

We have always bought them from The Dollar Tree and have never had any problems. Bought some for our next trip! :teeth:

I have ordered from them for the last 2 years with no problems at all.

I did exactly the same thing as cbbi...got the bracelets from illuminationz.com I always take a bunch to wdw, especially to fantasmic. dd shares with other kids near us...nice way to meet new friends and kill time waiting for the show!

I also did the 100 glow stick buy from Illuminationz. I am not totally pleased with the outcome. Some of the glow sticks have leaked and some will not fully glow, and some were just plain non-functional. I do like the price, just wished that we had a higher ratio of fully functional glow sitcks.

Enjoy your trip.

Take care,
FunFamily

I can vouch for this company - we buy every year with our group and sell them at our 4th of July festival (permits etc are all done!)

I gotten them from www.orientaltrading.com and never had a problem.

Another cool thing to do is bring glow in the dark hair gel (i got mine at a halloween store) and put it in the kids hair. All the rides that have black light (pooh, haunted mansion, buzz etc) make it work and the kids get a kick out of it.
