Sorry for the million questions but I am trying to get somethings crossed off the list!

Has anyone had Disney Floral provide glow necklaces for a dessert party and how much where they? I know they are easy to get myself but if the price wasn't that much different it would be one less thing to buy and ship.

Thanks! :)

I know we had the necklaces quoted from Disney.... But I can't for the life of me remember what it was or find my notes. I ended up just buying the necklaces from Target in Orlando for less than $1 a piece. They were just in the party supply section in packs of 10.

We did use Disney floral for glow-glasses (both wine and beer) they were $5 each and a huge hit with our guests.

we are bringing our own glow necklaces too but are having glow cubes from disney floral for our DP

I brought glow necklaces with me. They were less than $1 from the dollar store. It took forever though scouting different places looking for the right colors.

We also had to check them because I didn't want to go through the hassle of whether the TSA person that day would consider the inside liquid/gel. Then I was worried they would crack in the checked bagged, so I bought a lot of extras.

I don't think any cracked on the way there. But if it's only a dollar or so more to buy from Disney, I would...because it was such a hassle bringing them down.

I bought a few tubes from Michaels. They are just bracelets, but they were $1.50 for 15, and I bought 2. The fact that they are sealed is good too, as like the previous poster mentioned, it eliminates the chance of leaking liquid.

If you brought them with you did you give them to your wedding planner with your other stuff or just carry them with you on the wedding day? If I buy them myself I was just going to ship them down with the rest of my stuff.

I bought mine at micheals crafts the package was only $1 and has 15 or so and gave them to the WP along with all of my other stuff

I was going to bring these down but never got around to it and I am alittle sorry because I think they look great. We did have the glowcubes in our decor from Disney for our DP.

My main concern was how to get the necklaces lite and over to the DP. I figured if I was bringing my own - I would have to spend the hour before the party putting them together, getting them to glow and bringing them over to the DP myself. We were staying at The Boardwalk and walked over to Epcot for our DP. We have 50 guests so I would have like at least one or two each. I could not imagine working on this before going over to the party and then carrying them over. I guess I could have just put them through my arm on the walk over.

This is exactly my concern! We are going from the Attic to Epcot with all of our guests so I really don't want to worry about dragging the necklaces around all day, etc. I emailed the florist to get a quote. We are paying all this money for the wedding and am I really going to worry about extra few dollars for the necklaces. :rotfl:

Glad to see I am not the only one that was concerned. We did have a few hours between our reception and our DP. I just did not want to spend that time working on the glow necklaces - and as my Bridesmaids had done so much already, and were their with their husbands or boyfriends - I did not want to ask them to do that either.

Please post when you find out the prices. Now you have me interested - even though it is too late.

We brought our own, and brought them in a bag to the DP. Cracking them there wasn't a big deal at all. My sister and her boyfriend helped with the distribution. It went really quickly - like less than 5 minutes for 40.

We had glow bracelets too - even the addition didn't make it bad.

However our DP was the night before - I may have felt differently the day of - I don't know...

Well it looks like I will be bringing my own. Here is what Disney quoted me.

glow necklaces in sets of (25) for $31.75+ and glow bracelets are sold in sets of (25) for $18.50+.

I know I can get 2 necklaces in pack at the dollar store. The Michaels near me doesn't seem to sell them any more. :headache:

Thanks all for your help! I guess I need to pick someone to be responsible for handling them out!

Here's something else that may help you out and has a better lifetime guarantee.free replacement batteries). Life Gear makes longer lasting glow necklaces that at just a touch of a button turn on & off and also blink, and can be used as a flashlight. These ones are amazing. Our son has one for Halloween and my DH got one at work to have to Dumpster Dive (he works at Home Depot). Here's a link for their website: http://www.lifegearcompany.com/glowsticks/index.html.
Think of it this way for the few extra bucks that these ones cost, your guests can usethem more than once in the parks, at home, get replacement batteries for free, and the best part of it all is you don't have to snap them. It shouldn't take that Long to distribute one to each gest. Just throw them in a bag and hand out and the guests can turn them on ad off themselves.
