Just returned from Walmart. Found those glow in the dark bracelets for 48 cents. I bought 4 for our upcoming trip. I don't know about you, but I am tired of buying those night-time toys they sell at the parades for our trip, and then have them pushed aside once we get home! Going to bring some of the toys from past trips and just replace the batteries. Will also bring the new bracelets.

12 days and counting...

That's a good deal! I bought the light spinner things at TDS to take on our trip. I consider these to be permanent so if they want them for the next trip they will be lugging them back and replacing the batteries. I also bought some of the glow bracelets at the Dollar Tree so I will probably take them too and I won't have to shell out anymore money at WDW for that stuff. Have a great trip! I still have 80+ days to wait. :D

If you do a search on Ebay, you can get them much cheaper. I got 100 for $16 including shipping.

Back in the lawn & garden area (not with the insect repellent) Wal Mart has glow in the dark insect repellent bracelets. I hate bug spray, (these are citronella) so bought these last summer for a trip to San Antonio (mosquito capital of the world). Put one on your wrist and one on the opposite ankle and they worked great. Not a single bite. Children just need to wear one. After dark they glow in the dark, making your party easy to find in a crowd. I used them at my Gd's baseball and soccer games and while everyone else was being eaten alive, I never got a single bite. I bought some more for my January trip (for my son and GD to use). They have a little reuseable storage tray. They're only around $2.00 and besides glowing in the dark, take the place of bug repellent.

I just recieved my order today from orientaltrading.com Great place for things like this.
One of the things i got were those lite spinners, they were very affordable and i know it will keep me from having to buy them at night in WDW.

Good luck with your bracelets...
I bought some from Target (I think) before Halloween...they were kindof a pain. You have to really break them up and shake them a lot to get a good glow. And...it seemed like the glow got a bit better a few hours after we "activated" them...so they didn't look as great in the parks as they did as a nightlight in our room at Pop after MNSSHP!!

That said...way better to bring them from home than to buy them for a high cost at the parks.

And don't even get me started on those spinny things....aaacck!! Kids don't know their personal space as it is, and then they have a weapon? Needless to say, I avoid those. :earboy2:

Oh sheesh your right! I normaly am good about prethinking what is a weapon and what might not be, this one slipped past me :( Well ill try to keep them away from anyone while spinning.. most likely impossible at WDW at christmas time huh? lol

The Dollar Tree has just gotten in a tube of the bracelets for $1!!! There are 18 glowsticks in the tube in assorted colors. You can use one for a bracelet or put two together for a necklace. Great deal!!

I've had really good experience with illuminationz.com. I think it's 8$ for 100 bracelets. They are bright and last a long time.

We gave them out for Halloween this year.

We annually order from illuminationz for 100 bracelets (assorted colors for us) it's $7.99. They also sell tiny magnetic flashing LED lights in yellow/green or blue/red, we bought 20 blue/red and they were EVERYWHERE on our trip, in oldest DD's hair, shirts, on the stroller, it was alot of fun and something no one else had. Plus they were very bright lights! Everything is shipped quickly and works great! I have to admitt that I also buy somethimes from the Dollar Tree, over the summer ours sold a pack of 6 different colors for a dollar. More expensive then my illuminationz.com purchase but still alot of fun during cookouts!

Funny I was just talking to my friend about ordering from Oriental for my trip. Did you buy necklaces or bracelets as well as the spinners? If so, how is the quality? Do they seem sturdy? I have five kids and I figured this would be much cheaper than buying them there. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the heads up about the glow sticks at Dollar Tree!

I stopped by yesterday and bought the tube with 18 sticks. I think that's really a great deal! I don't have enough time before my trip to order from OTC, but I'll keep them in mind for the next time.

We order from Oriental Trading. Not the cheapest, but very convenient. We practically have a standing order.

As far as I know, all of these places are selling the same thing. We've gone through probably 150 of them in the past two years, and I think only one of those cracked.

Thanks everyone. I also went to Dollar Tree today and bought the cylinder of 18 sticks. I bought one for our trip and another one to use at my daughter's birthday party in January.

I now have quite a few of the sticks for the trip, which will work out nice. The store I went to no longer had any of the Disney pads, pencils or erasers. Glad I bought them a few weeks ago when I first saw them!
