Glossy Aulani Arrives

We were talking the other day about how advertising and promotion seemed a bit sketchy for Aulani..well, I just got a nice glossy booklet today that came with lots of trip inducing pictures and a point chart. Anyone else? or has this already been posted somewhere and I missed it?

Ours came today also. The points charts are pretty discouraging. We are going to Hawaii for 2 weeks in Mar. 2011. We are getting oceanfront 1 bedroom villas for about $1500/week. They are really lovely, smaller properties, just feet from the water so we can watch whales, dolphins, turtles, etc. If we stayed at Aulani it would be 400+ points/week. We would have a fancy pool and an onsite restaurant but not nearly the intimate oceanfront setting. We LOVE Hawaii but I would be surprised if we ever choose to stay at Aulani, much less buy points there. Now for those whose highlight will be the pool area, I can see that Aulani will be a sought-after destination.

I'll be in Hawaii in about 3 weeks, and plan to check out Aulani.

Got mine today here in Orlando but I haven't taken a look. I doubt I'd ever go to Aulani anyway as to take a service dog on the island is a major hassle and I can't get in the ocean, so it obviously doesn't appeal to me. I'll be interested to read the TR's though.---Kathy

We got ours (in Hawaii) a few days ago. Ko'Olina is one of favorite beaches for the kids! I know we won't buy there but I'd love to stay there!

We received ours on Saturday, August 21st. Been day dreaming about it ever since. And that's all it is a daydream. We might be able to swing either the points or the airfares (every few years) but not both. So we will hope that one day we'll be able to get a reservation at 7 months.

Got ours in the mail two days back. I think the tree houses had a nicer presentation and was a bit disappointed there. If I had the money to spare I would buy in no doubt. Glad there's no traveling presentation for it.
