Have any fellow dissers used globespan to book their villa in orlando?
due to the horrific prices being charged for 2009 holidays we are considering using globespan from glasgow (saving our party of 6 £1600 on virgin-ba etc) but have a few concerns, yes we know about the hit or miss flight times etc, but our biggest concern is the villa they are offering, its a "you find out where your villa is on arrival" but it is "executive" pool-jacuzzi guaranteed, which is more than a little worrying, have any of you guys used them in the past and were thrilled or just plain disgusted! any opinions gratefully recieved,
:-)

Hi,

Firstly never used them, but feel it's always best and often cheaper booking your own villa independantly.
This way you choose where you want to stay.

Most villas are really nice, but with booking your own you choose the home and the location too.

Hello

Just to add whats above I have never used them so cant help that way but I have stayed in numerous villas on many occassions. I also for a short period of time have owned but do not anymore. I would recommend talking to people on here and friends where you are and ask around about places they have stayed. Decide on what you would like in your villa - south facing pool? games room? hot tub? cable tv? playstation? etc. Its nice to make some good contacts with owners as they can come in useful and can give a lot of tips.

Dont be afraid to contact owners direct and ask questions - they prefer this and are mostly friendly, they have heard all the questions before so dont be afraid to ask. Do look carefully there are always some unsavoury people about which is why I would ask for recomendations.

Hi ya

We always stay at my Auntie and Uncles villa (she actually has two next door to each other which is great when the whole family goes out).
We're off out there again in 8 days yeeeeehaaaaa :)

They used to live in Old Meldrum, which I'm sure you know of being from the granite city :), but they are back in Renfrewshire now.

check out their website and give them a call, even if it's just for information, they are very friendly and both villas are lovely and well kept and you can pick which one you want, plus they have a management team in Florida that will help you if you have any issues while you are out there.

It's just off the 192 and 5 mins from Walmart, 15 mins from Disney and 25mins from Universal.

hope this helps

Scott

Was with them in July this year. Picked up the code for the Villa from the Best Western in the middle of the strip on 192.

The actual Villa was about 10-15mins away on the 27 at the end of the 192.

We didn't have an Executive villa, but it did comfortably house 12 of us. Lovely pool, fanstatically clean, and in a very quiet area. Great facilities and very close to a large Walmart and a Windixie.

Regards cost, given a 2400 overall price for our group of 4, that was the flight, car hire and villa - I seriously doubt you could beat them on price.

Relax sir, it will be great and you'll spend next to no time in it anyway.:thumbsup2
