Hi folks,
Now I know that Globespan get some stick on here but I could get flights 9/9-30/9 for £1400! My cheapest so far is £1588 with Continental, both BA & Virgin are out of sight at the minute:scared1: So is it worth the risk to save £180?

I'm interested to see some of the reponses (especially anyone who has used them this year with the new "all premium economy" service) as I fly with them in August. Just so you know don't be too fooled with the premium economy tag, all that means is you get the meal and headphones included and a slightly larger luggage capacity, the seats are still economy (30")

I have never flown with them but for £180 and piece of mind I would use one of the others if your uncertain.Everyones experience is different and you may find them great.Do you have miles with VA? Why not wait till about may and see if there m+m is any cheaper.I know it is a risk waiting. They are currently £446 for 1 adult with m+m.good luck.I got ours for £316 each adult and £279.

continental would be indirect,so if direct what you want sounds good

Hi there,

My family are exactly the same as yourselves, we never seem to get cheaper flights anywhere, apart from Poland. Until recently we always flew from Manchester to get to Orlando, thats ok on the way there, but on the way back it's a pain when you just want your bed and have a long drive back. I recently have booked 3 sets of holidays via a very well known site in the states call orbitz.com (if this site blocks this name by putting the xxxxx over the top I will pm you) for the dates you mentioned "that site" could beat the price by £100 at least although they are not direct.

Hey, just checking out this site (still busily trying to get people to book for our wedding, blood from a stone and stressing me out!!) and it seems very good price wise.

Are there any problems with using it being UK based ie. will they send out tickets or whatever to a UK address?

Thanks :goodvibes

we flew with them last year, first class, and could not fault them at all, left on time on both legs of the journey, the food was fantastic as was the service and extremely comfortable, not too sure how comforatble economy would have been for us tallies but the plane was full on both journey's so other people are using them... But then we have also flown travel city and found them the same, although others have complained.

Hi SD
how many of you are going????
i've just been on airline network. Aer Lingus flight (1 stop) Glasgow
Orlando 9/9/08 - 30/9/08

adult £528 (any good):thumbsup2

Thanks folks, looked at Orbitz but prices seem very similiar to what I have depending on the exchange rate. Also looked at Aer Lingus but was put off by the arrival time in MCO.We had more or less decided on Continental but when it came to book the seats ,specifically the ones with power outlets, they keep them for upgrades & only release them 24hrs before! So at the minute that has put paid to the idea to overcome no seat back tvs.:confused3

We've been to Florida 8 times since 2004, 5 times in March with BA (Edinburgh - Gatwick - MCO) , and the 3 other times in September with Continental from (Edinburgh Via Newark to Sanford), Airtours (Glasgow to Sanford) and GLobespan (Edinburgh to Sanford). BA is always faultless as have 2 young kids and the sky cot is great. We tend to try and go for 17 - 21 days as opposed to 14 so try to avoid the cheaper airlines and my experience with Continental wasn't great with a 13 month old in 2004. Although shown as flying via Newark, you had to get off and change planes and handle luggage. When we checked in at Edinburgh they didn't know what the gate number would be for Newark, so this was not printed on the Boarding Card. We had problems getting through with the boarding card and almost missed the connecting flight as my husband had to dissapear to try and get a boarding card printed with the correct gatge number on it. Went Globespan in September 2007 (reluctantly) however had no problems whatsoever. Flight wasn't full, and at what stage during the flight managed to have 11 seats between 3 adults, 4 year old and 11 month old ! Didn't pay for the meals and didn't think it was worth the money with 4 year old and 11 month old so took sandwiches, but got a meal anyway (apparently would have got a choice if paid for it !). Had friends go Globespan also in October 2007 and again they had no problems other than an hours delay. Unfortunately, they had already prepaid for the meals

The website www.vayama.com seems to often find the best international fares. Of course it won't find charter fares.

If you plan to book something you like on www.orbitz.com, keep in mind that the same company owns www.cheaptickets.com and you can find the same fare there but usually with a lower booking fee and thus it's cheaper than orobitz.
