Interesting? I didn't know that what you proposed was a commonly held belief. I have no agenda. I saw this poll on another site, and decided to post it here out of curiosity. I don't even have a strong opinion on the matter. I am not well versed in the subject. Just curious.

Actually I think it's almost over. Usually these global terror reports are good for a decade or so, before getting replaced with newer ones.
I know for a long time when we were younger it was "the next coming Ice Age", then of course it was the deadly Ozone hole (actually I think that is still somewhat popular, although the report on farting cows didn't do much to help it). So I figure give global warming a few more years in the spotlight before scientists change their minds again.

I think a lot of what is blamed on global warming is just natural earth cycles. I think the hysterics and doom and gloom propaganda are turning people off, which is a shame, because we have harmed the environment and our actions do need to be changed.

I find it hard to believe that our weather is being predicted decades down the road when the best supercomputers can't predict anything further out than five days with any accuracy. Plus, these same Global Warming computer models, when run in reverse, don't accurately predict the weather that has already occurred.

As PLANOGIRL said, I see nothing wrong with being prudent. Anecdotal evidence is surely abundant. Although, I still haven't seen one of these "top" scientists discuss how the Polar ice caps are melting ON MARS similarly to the ones here on earth. Leads me to believe the "sun cycle" theories.
