I've heard lots of people talk about Glo Stics here. Where exactly do you get them? If it's like Wal Mart of K mart or Target, in what department are they???

I would have NEVER found disposible ponchos if someone here hadn't told me the Camping section of Walmart!

Anyone help with the Glo Sticks??

I find it's often best to ask someone at the store - customer service will at least find someone who knows. A lot of items can be in different departments in different branches of the same store....... Glo sticks, though... try with the party favors or toys for fun ones like necklaces. The camping area probably has the basic ones. If you have a party store, that might be worth trying first.

If you have enough time, places like Oriental Trading will let you order online.

I always get them at the Dollar Tree. In the past 5 years we have had only 1 package that didn't work. They are usually in the toy isles of these stores.
This year I even found glo straws and glasses. The kids are gonna love them.

Walmart I've seen them in the party supply isle. I think Target was the same.

Do you have a dollar store in Charleston? or a Deal$?

That's where you can find ponchos, glow sticks, and over the door shoe holders that everyone likes to grab.

I also get mine from the Dollar Store. I also bought a bunch of them from eBay.

wal-mart party aisle has glow sticks, necklesses, bracelets, mouth sticks, rings, and I do believe earrings now!

You know how Target has that newer area right as you enter called the dollar spot? They had them there. They had both the stick kind and a cool fiber optic sort of wand. My DS loved the fiber optic wand!
One funny side note, while on Stitch's ride last week- when the ride was pitch black, a toddler took out his lighted spinner toy. I thought that was so funny and smart! He got yelled at though, to turn it off! That toddler is was a ;) thinker!

I've found all shapes, sizes and colors on Ebay. Under novelty toys, if I remember right, and wholse sale lots.

We got ours at the Dollar Tree too, but if you don't have one around you, go to OrientalTradingCompany.com. They always have them, and if you need alot of them, they sell them in packs of 12.

I bought mine at WalMart in the toy section with all the cheapy toys. You know the same isle you buy $.88 "Barbies" and cap guns and stuff like that. They were $.88 for glo sticks and $.48 for necklaces. I also bought some battery "glo sticks" with led light that have an on/off switch, but these may have been out for Halloween only, but I bought pink and blue, so maybe they have them out year around.

I just bought some recently on ebay too. I got 100 for $13.99 shipping included.
They are the 8" bracelets with connectors(100 also) to make necklaces. They are all different colors too.

I buy them from illuminationz.com. You get a tube of 100 with connectors so you can make them as long as you want. With s/h I think it came to about $12

We do have a Dollar Store, but I never go in it....TOO dangerous! I'll risk it for the DIS!

Gosh! You guys know everything!!!

Now another Glo Stikx Question: How long does it glow? Do you break it or pop it to get it started or is it simply glow in the dark by exposure to light kind of thing.

My DS5 better like these things after all this!! LOL!

We get ours here too. The more you buy the cheaper it is. Some of my friends at work order with me so even with s/h it comes out cheap. We ordered 1000 bracelets. one friend wanted 200, another wanted 100. another friend & I each got 350. I paid $20 for 350 bracelets, they have a shelf life of 2 yrs. We take some to disney for our grandsons to share with other kids.

They also have glow sticks, glasses etc.

the best money we spent for our last disney trip was the $1 I spent at the dollar tree on a container of 15 glow in the dark bracelets and $2 spent at the dollar section of Target for one battery operated glow stick that when you waved it in the dark it would look like three different colored sticks. probably not the best description, but hopefully you get the idea and the fiber optic battery glowstick. these kept dd's interest much longer than the $15 spinning cinderella we got her for our '04 WDW trip!!!

I also tipped off the other moms traveling with us and they picked up their own supplies. we had happy and occupied kiddies for parades, fireworks, etc. and didnt have to spend a fortune!
