Just did this tour as a last minute thing in February after our whale watching lobster lunch was cancelled. We LOVED it!
@TRTRguy broke it down perfectly. The 45 minute harbor boat tour was very nice and included complimentary sodas and water. Very comfortable large boat with two clean bathrooms. We got lucky and were able to see whales on our harbor cruise, which was our initial interest. So major bonus! The crew was super friendly and they had a guide who told us all about Cabo, the Arch, and the whales we saw.
Then, it's a 15 or so minute bus ride to the glass factory with a guide who shares info about Cabo. The bus is air conditioned and very comfortable. At the Glass Factory they had a demonstration that lasted maybe 15 minutes, then another 15-20 minutes to shop in the store. Some people headed right back to the bus while others shopped. The Glass Factory had decent bathrooms. The glass art was simply beautiful!
After that, it's another 10-15 minute ride to the scenic overlook in the same bus. Super cool views and it was neat to see the Arch from a completely different perspective. Each guest was offered soda and water at the overlook. We didn't stay there more than 20 minutes, long enough to see the view, drink your soda, and use the bathrooms.
Finally it was back to the port. Our excursion start time was 8:45 and we were back at the port by 1:30pm. The excursion was about an hour longer than the time that was listed when we booked.
My wife and I loved the excursion. The bus was clean and air conditioned, the stops were each just about the right time (i.e. when we started getting bored was right around the same time we were gathering up to move to the next stop), and we got to see some amazing parts of Cabo. Going into it, we were not really interested in the glass factory, but it was really, really cool. It's amazing what the artists can create.
Oh, be sure to bring cash to tip! We tipped the boat crew (they were speedy with drinks & refills and had amazing info about Cabo and the whales), the glass artists, and our tour guide (a saucy German lady who was funny and informative). We also paid cash for the small glass souvenir we purchased - it was about $20 for a small sea turtle.
We were never badgered to purchase anything. Nobody was pushy or rude. It was one of the best Mexican excursions we've been on in a long, long time.
Important note - we were two adults on the excursion. Kids would probably get restless at the Glass Factory and Overlook. In fact, one of the little kids on our tour threw his dad's hat off the overlook into the rocks below because he was upset at not being able to go to the beach.
