Whew!! I'm so glad to be back home! 10 days in Orlando is a bit too much for us!
We did Universal first. We were there for 5 days. We had a blast!! We love both the HRH and RPR. I don't think I could ever go to Disney again without visiting Universal.
On to Disney... We stayed at CBR for 4 nights. CBR didn't thrill me. I had some problems with my room. I ended up checking out one day early. We then moved to CSR on our last night.
Well... We were "WOWed!!" This is a beautiful resort! Even my kids liked this resort more than CBR. We did the surrey bike. We swam in the big pool and the kiddie pool. The Dig Site play area was a big hit for my kids (4 and 6). We walked around a little bit and enjoyed the scenery. We stayed at Cabana 8B. Great location. Not too far from El Centro and not too far from the Dig Site. I found the "magic" here at this resort...just like I found the "magic" at the All Stars Resorts. Staying at CSR made up for my unpleasant stay at CBR.
I just wished I have checked out sooner at CBR so I could have had more time at CSR. Or even better...I wished I didn't bother with CBR. But that is ok...at least now I have something to compare.
CSR un-Disney? It is very Disney w/ convention or no convention and I am Disney fanatic just like you are. Would I be staying here again?...Most definitely!
My stay at Universal is just wonderful!! Hard Rock Hotel just "Rocks!" It is defenitely has the "upbeat!" My kids (4 and 6) loved the pool. I feel more safe here as far as the depth of the pool. There is only one area that is deeper than the rest but not too deep maybe about 4ft 7in, which to me and the kids is very deep (we don't swim that's why...LOL).
HEY!!...I didn't intend to stay at the Club...but for some reason, I had to try the Club. They offered it to me $75 more per night. We stayed there for 2 nights. It would be more worth it if you have older kids that enjoys eating a lot. My kids are little, they don't eat much. But it was nice cause we were at the top floor and the view is just AWESOME!!! It is the best view! I can see USF park from the bed lying down! It is great at night! We can also see IOA and the CityWalk. We did have the view of that incredible pool. My son used the slide one time only. I think he got a little scared, but that is ok he still enjoyed the pool. Did I tell you that this is an AWESOME resort? IT IS! We got the king size bed and the room is very nice!!
OH MY!! No wonder I never see anyone at the bus stop! The walk is only 5 minutes away from the park!! This is soooo great!
I love this resort...BUT...I love RPR too! After HRH we moved to PRR for another 2 nights.
I have always liked the Island feeling. And RPR sure has the ambience of the pacific islands. There was the poly dancers at the pool. It was sooo kewl! The kids and I and some other people were dancing with them. It was great!
I LOVE...I LOVE the FOTL!! We got spoiled!! After 4 nights of staying at Universal and then to Disney...Disney got the "magic"...but Universal just got this "thing" that I feel that I can't explain! Universal is just awesome all around. The parks and their resorts are just..."Out" of this "World!"
Ahhhh....feeling romantic...ahhhh just the two of you...ahhhh....You have to try PBH!!! This is another awesome resort!! We walked around the ground and even tried their pool. Another big hit for the kids! They enjoyed the themed pool. They tried the playground and the kiddie pool for a just a litte while. We were there late in the afternoon and we were able to see the sun go down. AWWWWW....this is another Loews beautiful resort. This is a very romantic place...just the atmosphere jus wants to make you fall in love again.
Sooooo....No one can go wrong with any of these resorts. They are wonderful and just beautiful!! The services are superb! It is not Disney...but I must say...the "Magic" is also here at Universal!
BTW...Jimmy Neutron and Shrek is out favorite!!! Of course we can't leave out the One Fish Two Fish...and Cat in the Hat and Woody Woodpecker! This is also our favorite too!
