I'm glad this happened yesterday instead of later in the month! I got rear ended after leaving work! It was awful weather, and I was turning left at an intersection. I had braked for some cars coming through, and she hit the gas, and couldn't brake in time when she realized I had stopped. You can tell she skidded, since the damage is more to the right bumper on mine and the left front on hers. There was a lot of water on the roads, just nasty conditions.
Luckily, we're all ok. We're waiting to hear back from her insurance, and I have an appointment with a place here for an eval about repairs.
This would have really messed up my Disney plans later in the month! Hopefully all will be fixed by the time we drive down!

Well, if you time it right you can get a rental car from the insurance, have the car repaired while you are on vacation and take the rental car down.

A lot of rental car companies have special rates for insurance companies. Unfortunately, a lot of those rates do not include unlimited mileage, so you could be on the hook for excess mileage charges. When I worked at Budget we offered unlimited mileage on retail rentals, and 100 miles a day on insurance rentals.
