Anyone every stay at the Sperry Chalets in Glacier National Park? We are thinking about doing this during July for one night. It's about a 6 mile hike to the Chalet from the place you can park your car. No electricity, no showers or tubs. Pack it in, pack it out. We'll pack a backpack with toothbrushes, hair brushes and clean underwear (plus gloves, hats, etc - we have heard there is snow at this elevation, even in July).

We're also planning on the night before we go up the mountain to stay in Apgar and then stay the night after we go up the mountain in Apgar again. Then we'll head over to Yellowstone for three nights.

We stayed at some of the regular hotels in Glacier / Waterton and they are a bit rustic but not that level.

It does sound fun though. We are planning a trip for 2006 maybe I can talk the girls into that one. It would be nice to see more of the park than you can just driving.

There are also horseback trips into the park where you just bring a tent, some last several days. I'm don't think I could handle that.
