Glacier National Park?

Anyone been? Husband and I are going end of this July to tent camp there and in WY. Any good campsites there? My husband is planning most of this, but I thought it would be good to get the advice of some more experienced campers

we've been there. i can't remember the camping other than the fact that we just got a site when we arrived. the U.S.A. side is better than the canadian side. but, it was neat to see them both. there is a road called "going to the sun" or something like that, it takes you through the park. we couldn't take that road because we were 2' too long. so, we had to go all the way around to get to the other side.

i am sure taking this road would of been really neat, we just couldn't.

I went there in the 1970s with my parents and loved the place. We were going to try to make it this year and did not, but it is on my bucket list.

If you are tenting, you will have many more options, and if you like to hike into the backcountry, you are in for an incredible experience.

Have you seen the comparisons of glacier retreat in historic photos to current ones? There is a display on-line at the official website and it is amazing to see.

The Going to the Sun Road was an incredible drive and I was lucky to be a passenger. Can't imagine that the driver gets to see too much of the scenery. I can still recall the vivid scenery, the waterfalls, the lakes, the animals, just fantastic.
