Thanks for the info on Buena Vista Suites and staying somewhere in the south region. Would that include the downtown Disney area? I found a few good deals on lastminutetravel.com for DTD hotels and thought it might be a nice location for walking to some meals between our volunteer shifts. What do you think about the DTD traffic?

Depending on the time of day traffic could be an issue, but I think the route to GKTW from there would be easy enough. If you can get a good deal go for it!

I have stayed a couple times at the now Wyndham in DTD. It used to be the Regal Sun and before that The Grosvenor. It isn't fancy, but the new pool is nice and it's clean, but be sure to get a tower room though. The best part is that it's right across the street from the DTD enterance. I loved that. We walked there all the time. You can find good deals for the Wyndham usually at Book It . com. I'd say the Wyndham and Hilton are the closest for walking to DTD for sure. There is light right at the corner, so traffic isn't too bad.
