Photo Show & Tell: Packing for my DD

Sorry I have been a little negligent with my PTR these past few weeks. Usually a month or so before a long, planned for vacation, I experience a little lull. It's not that I was unexcited or anything, I just was feeling stressed with what was left to do. I started a little poll on the Dec. Roll Call thread to see what people had left on their 'to do 'lists, and so answering my own poll forced me to write it all out. It was helpful for me to have a clearer road map of what was left before we hit the road.

A week later, and I feel a whole lot LESS stressed and can now focus on the final stuff before we leave in EIGHTEEN days!!



I am starting to pack for DD. Over the course of the last 11 months, I have been picking up some fun Disney clothes (on sale of course), knowing they would be going with us to WDW. Thought I would share some pictures.

Here's my little girl about two months ago. She was walking around in my Mickey ears, and so of course, I had to snap a pic.

And since I am evil, we got our Westie involved in some of the fun too.

Now on to the clothes! (Sorry if this is boring, I am just passing time!! )

I guess I should say, it's not ALL coming with us. We are only there for a week! But I have a mixture of warm and cooler weather clothes. I guess I went a little overboard in clothes shopping!

Oh, and a thread update wouldn't be finished with my current Mickey antenna head count:

Two Weeks Away!

So I have been putting my two year old through Disney Parks University for the past 8 months, a regimen of watching Disneyland Sing-a-long DVDs, looking at pics of mommy and daddy with the characters, and viewing various WDW related videos on You Tube. She is all ready to see the "CASTLE" and "Deenee World" in just 14 days! Here's a couple pics of a recent 'lesson' at Disney University:

This is how I spend my afternoon, putting up the Christmas tree.

All my Disney indoctrination on my two year old has worked. The first thing she said upon seeing the tree was "DONALD!!!"

Then, "Minnie" and "Mickey" as she spotted all the Disney ornaments. I sure love that kid!!

It was so exciting to do my tree this year. Last January, as I was putting all the ornaments away, I couldn't help but think that the next time I would be taking all this stuff out, we would be about to go on our trip. It seemed SOOOOO far away. Yet, now we are 2 weeks away! Time kinda sorta flew by!

Where did you get all those adorable clothes??? We always pack shirts for the first couple days and then buy shirts at the park for the rest of the time.....but finding the toddler sizes isn't always easy at Disneyland. (not sure how it is at WDW)

SINGLE DIGIT DANCE BREAK!!



After being booked for 11 months, but counting down even before that, I can finally say we are NINE days out! OMG!!!

We will also be there on 12-12-12! Going 12/8 through 12/17. Have a fantastic trip, your daughter is adorable, I'm sure it will be a great time!!!

Thanks. Those are the front room, but rather the Florida Room. Very common here in Florida. They usually face the back. Lots of windows so you can open them up and enjoy a breeze on a warm day.

I got most of the clothes at Target. The red Christmas Minnie jacket was off ebay (last winter!). A couple items from Disneystore or Disney outlet.

I love all the clothes for your DD and your tree is beautiful!!! I'm glad your Disney Parks University worked.

Yes, I should set up an online DPU! heheh. I am sure Miss J and I will be watching more DVDs this weekend and ride videos online. Thanks for the kudos on our tree.

I am beyond excited!! Today, I got pretty much all our packing done. Just a few things to tuck inside our bags and then it's complete.

What's left?

- Finalize our MK touring plans
- Pick up more non-perishable snacks (the perishable stuff we will get at Publix right before driving under the WDW gates)
-Tidy up the house. (It's already decorated, so that's nice to come home to)
-Ummmm.... hmmm........ Could I really only have THAT left to do?

Wow. That makes me feel a lot more calm! Not too shabby with 7 days out (well 6.25) heh. I just have 5 works days to get through and one fun holiday party on Sat night.

I CAN SOOOOOOOOOO DO THIS!!!! Bring it!

He is all set. In fact, he gets a vacation out of this too. He loves going to his doggy daycare. He's going to be well taken care of. Though, I bet he would love riding on the Tomorrowland Speedway.
