Giving points?

My sister is not going to use her points this year and wanted to give them to me. Can she give me the points and how does that work when making reservations?

Assuming you are a DVC member as well, another option, if you'd like, is to have her transfer them to you. Now keep in mind, you can only have one transfer in/out per year. So this would be it for both of you. However, it would be beneficial if you wanted to combine your points with hers. And in that case, you can make your own reservations and be able to manage it.

However, if you are not a member, then as mentioned before, your sister can make reservations for you. But, your sister would have to make any changes. You cannot call Member Services.

If you are a DVC member she can transfer the points from her account to your account, assuming neither of you has already used the one transfer you get each Use Year. Once the points are in your account you can use them to make a reservation. If you are not a DVC member, your sister would have to make a reservation in your name using her points. If you want the dining plan or Magical Express your sister would have to add that for you (you would pay for the DDP at check in) because you will not be able to talk to Member Services about the reservation since it would be owned by your sister.

Also, those points cannot be banked and must be current year points to transfer them.

No, you will be able to make your own dining reservations. You would just contact the main WDW-Dine number that everyone uses. Your sister could also do it for you through MS if she wants.
