So after my disasterous trip to dlp in 2013 which resulted in me throwing away our anual passes and stating i would never return, i have actually booked to come in feb 2016, only for one day mind you, dont think i could brave any longer and stay over . Got a good deal on a coach trip so thats the only reason im going. It will just be 2 wks after dd birthday. In 2013 my dd who was 6 at the time said she never wanted to return :( i felt the same so that was that. A few times this year she has mentioned about returning and i just kept saying no. Then this trip came up so i just thought why not, its only one day. Not sure how im gonna feel about travelling all that way on a coach through night before arriving there and then travelling all through night on way home after disney. Ive always gone on eurostar and stayed a few days.
I would just like to go and come away with good memories instead of the way we came back feeling last time, more so for dd . Has anything changed good or bad there since 2013 ?

Don't feel qualified to comment on any changes as I haven't visited since 2012 but just wanted to say that I hope you both come away with happy memories this time. I don't envy you all that travelling, though!

I was at DLP in May and had a fabulous time. We stayed for 4 nights at Santa Fe before heading into Paris for another 5 nights. Not sure what happened to you previously when you visited, but if you want to ask any questions please don't hesitate.

As others have said Im not sure what happened last time to put you off but be prepared to be very tired after travelling there by coach all night . What time will you arrive and how long will you have there? Will you already have your ticket or will you need to queue to get one? Will you have a park hopper ticket or just for one park?

The new 'land' in the Studios based on Ratatouille movie is excellent especially the ride but the queues get very long very quickly and fast passes run out very quickly. The single rider line is the best and quickest option but Im not sure you would want to do that with your daughter - Im guessing she will be 8/9?

There are no characters in the hotels anymore - instead they are in the parks during EMH for hotel guests but that shouldn't affect you

Cafe Mickey is now a set menu so you can no longer go there for a cheap meal by sharing a pizza

There tend to be more queued character meet and greets now but you do still get a lot of random characters about with scrums

I don't know if Dreams is new since you were there but its shown every night at park closing but Im not sure if you will have to leave before its shown

As already mentioned there are a lot ride closures for refurbishment next yr so be prepared for that
