Give the Santa Fe a chance...

We have just returned from a trip at the Santa Fe.

After the refurbishment the hotel is in much better shape - It reminded me of the All Stars or Pop century in WDW.

It's never going to be the Disneyland hotel, but it definitely has more of a Disney feel than before.

Yes total agree with you there, the refurbishment is lovely. Stayed their in March and liked the new Cars theme of the hotel. I just hope they do not remove the UFO from the grounds of the hotel.

The boys will love it, we stayed there in October, and I loved all the car details in the room. It feels more of a Disney hotel now, than it did before

My kids loved Cheyenne. The cowbiy hotel was more boyish style than SL or HNY.

Me too! Love the restaurant, shop, rooms, the whole lot. Once we've gotten DLH ticked off the list & gotten to hopefully stay in a refurbished room in the Newport i reckon we'll be at the SF from there on out

We stayed here in October and are staying there again next month, the new refurbished rooms make the rooms seem more spacious and they are so bright and colourful.

Am Glad to hear of all the positive reviews- I am staying here first week of March, and was a little put off but lots of negative reviews. I cant moan though I got it with that Ebookers glitch

I don't mind the Santa Fe, the room theme is fab but I hate the bar area. I feel they can do so much better there

We love the Santa Fe and have stayed here several times before on previous trips. We've always found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable and breakfast adequate. Since the refurbishment the hotel looks great, with good theming throughout. A good option if on a tight budget.

Glad to hear the good reviews. We are staying for 8 nights in just over three weeks. My OH was cursing because he wanted to stay in SL, So he will be pleased to hear it's not too bad!

Put it like this - I last stayed there nearly 14 years ago. Recently we went for a nosey around. WOW what a difference. I can honestly say that it was like visiting for the first time. Clean and fresh and the cars theme works well I'd happiky stay again, and I had REALLY bad memories of it!

Apparently there's wifi in the main lobby of the hotel. I remember when we went via Santa Fe on our first trip to DLP together and we both said "you couldn't pay me to stay there!" - we had a wander around in October as I was "secretly" planning our next trip would be to SF and we were impressed. I'll be sure to post pics and maybe a TR

We stayed there in October. Brilliant hotel and the kids loved it. La Cantina isn't the best but would deffo stay there again and I'm really fussy when it comes to Hotels wherever I go.
