TIA :thumbsup2

Ritz crackers
Cheese sticks
Dried cherries, raisins, apricots
Yogurt
Water
Trail mix (teddy Graham's, goldfish pretzels, dried cherries, m and ms, marshmallows)
Nothing for lines. Twins play together, we chat.
Purell
Wet ones
Donuts (for a treat snack sometimes)

Dd has a peanut allergy so we don't usually purchase snacks. This gets us through the morning. We break for lunch around noon.

I love your trail mix recipe! Thanks!

Waiting in line list:
Just don't do it! You should be able to plan your day such that you never have to wait more than 10 minutes max, especially with a little kid.
Snacks:
Whatever you bring, put it in small portions, so that it doesn't take forever to eat the snack. Made the mistake of bringing large baggies of snacks and my son would insist on sitting and eating the whole bag. He's a slow eater, and sometimes would sit for 45 minutes snacking on goldfish. Snacks can be good in lines if you can be sure he will finish before he gets on the ride.

Oh! I like the 10 minute rule. We plan on fastpassing as much as possible as well.

Our little guy is very good at "all done" and handing back his snack cup when he has had enough...but will definitely keep the snack pouches to a small size...

We combined. We used mini boxes of raisins for waiting in any longer lines when DD was 2 or 3. She would eat the raisins one by one and then play with the box awhile.

My 2.5 yo loves the pouches of purred fruits / veggies, he gets them infrequently at home but on vacation I would much rather give him one of those than a cookie. I will also be bringing some homemade trail mix and a sandwich for him each day. I don't want to be caught with a hungry toddler and no food. As for lines, my plan is to avoid as much as possible and pick up a few little toys at the Dollar store to use in case of emergency.

We did goldfish in lunch packs already portioned. We also made homemade trail mix and had it already portioned out in snack size bags. Gerber yogurt melts.

We don't carry many snacks with us, but both boys loved the fruit snacks at that age. We would always choose the disney shape ones and it was just enough to get us through a line. Our line rule is 20 minutes so never too bad. Never carried anything for lines but will hand the little one my iphone once in a while if the lines tends to move slow.

Neat trick!

I totally forgot about yogurt melts...

We did just go to an event at the zoo yesterday and he waited pretty well...but yes 20 minutes was about his max...

"Trail mix (teddy Graham's, goldfish pretzels, dried cherries, m and ms, marshmallows)" from pp.

I bring gerber graduates cheese curls, fruit snacks, goldfish & 100 calorie packs of cookies or cheeseitz .

Our trail mix recipe is:
Raisins
Almonds
Dried apple pieces
Graham cracker goldfish

Sometimes we add dried pumpkin seeds, unsweetend coconut dried coconut, or other dried fruit.

We brought some stuff for waiting in line last year but none of it was really needed. He was only 17 months though. We brought a calculator and a light spinning toy. I only really used them when we were waiting for daddy to ride a big ride. We never had to wait in long lines because we go in September.

This year he will be almost 2.5 so we will bring a mini Etch a Sketch and the calculator but only use them when we eat probably.

As for snacks, juice boxes (mostly for if he gets constipated and he rarely gets it at home), some graham cracker cookies, some animal cracker cookies, and squeezable applesauce packets.

Love the trail mix that someone posted!

Goldfish/Bunnies, raisins, Pirate's Booty, applesauce/fruit pouches, fruit snacks, granola bars, juice pouches, and M&Ms/lollipops or some other non-melty candy (my DS is a little older than yours). He also has his own Brita water bottle so we can refill it anywhere and have cool, clean-tasting water. The water in Central Florida has a different taste to it; some people mind and some don't, so it's best to have a filtered bottle IMO. On our last trip I pre-packed large Ziplocs with a day's supply of snacks so I could just throw one in our backpack each night before bed. It makes it easier to see what you have and less likely to end up with smashed snacks at the bottom of your bag.

And if you take advantage of Fastpass and get to the parks early, you won't have to worry too much about lines. We haven't waited more than 20 minutes for any ride on either of our family trips. Most kids will be pretty well-behaved since they know something good is coming. If DS gets antsy, we talk about what we did that morning, what we did yesterday, what we will do later, what we want for lunch, which characters we want to see next, etc. etc. We look at the park map or the pictures we've already taken. We have games on the phone for extra-long waits where he needs to sit still (like at dinner) but we hold out as long as possible.

When my children were little, the one thing that saved us countless times at WDW: Ring Pops. :)

They are big - so they take lots of time to lick!
No paper stick for them to choke on when they get down to the nub.
They don't melt in a hot backpack and are easy to transport.

I gave this suggestion to my BFF when she took her little one to WDW for the first time, and she was skeptical. She thought 2 was too young for any kind of lollipops. But she bought some and took them with her anyway. Guess who called me to tell me that Ring Pops were the best invention ever created? Lol. Now she never travels without them.

The only downfall is that they are messy. But over the years my mantra has been: I'd rather have a happy, messy child than an agitated, clean one. I always have Wet Wipes on hand anyway, so the mess never gets too out of hand. I can't tell you how many long bus rides back to the hotel at the end of the night where I have sat next to my quiet children while all around us kids are melting down. On occasion I have offered our extra Ring Pops to those in need. :-)

I sort of miss those days, when my kids were little . . .

Don't think I have seen this yet - glow sticks! Bracelets, actually. Every year before summer I get like 300 on line for really cheap and they are great for all of our summer events. I bring them to Disney too. They are great to bust out while waiting for nighttime entertainment and are great for the budget rather than buying the $15 light up toys that are being sold. As PP said about the ringpops, I have definitely handed out a bunch at a parade or on some bus trips at the end of the night. Kids (and parents) are very appreciative of it.

This coming trip is the first one that we'll use videos on the phone (previous trips were 1 child, now we have three). But we'll probably set a time limit before it can come out (20min), otherwise they will want to use it the moment they step foot on a line and I don't like doing that.

grapes - lots of grapes - my kids will eat them for hours

also - not a snack but - i have discovered these glow headbands this summer (at the dollar store) and they look just like Mickey Mouse ears (the glow sticks snap in to the head band)....I have the head bands and am just going to buy the bracelet size glow sticks to replace them - much better than spending $15 a night for glow sticks in the parks

My kids have just started liking those yogurt tubes. I think I'll try those on our next trip. My hubby always brings a spoon and yogurt but the kids prefer the tubes. Forgot to mention that they get the odd entenmann's donut. Can't get them in canada and they are peanut free.
