I was all ready to make ADRs for my June trip and then they changed the date to 90 days out so I have to wait until March.
It will be me, DH, DS12 and DD10. DD will not eat an entire adult meal so I plan to pay OOP for her when she orders off the kids menu at some of the TS. Give me your thoughts on these meals (some we've done before, some we haven't)
Cape May Cafe - dinner
Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Dinner Package
'Ohana - dinner
The Wave - dinner
Kona Cafe - breakfast
Boatwrights - dinner
LeCellier - dinner
????

The last one is up for grabs - I'll take suggestions. (We've thought about 50s Prime Time, Tusker House)

No character meals? just curious why? even at 12 and 10 yrs old they would enjoy it.
Kona Cafe breakfast is great..... any meal there is great.
We have done Ohanas for breakfast and dinner.... love it! plan on it again in July.
We are also considering the H&V Fantasmic dinner package.... save us from waiting in line!
I'd skip Boatwrights.... just didn't thrill me.
Cape May.... did the breakfast there years ago... and plan to try it again too. planning the character breakfast!

IMHO.... 50's Prime Time is one of the worst meals at WDW!!! I know many people rave about it.... but for us... YUK. We even thought maybe we hit it on a bad day the first time.... tried it again... YUK. then gave it one more chance because that was the only thing available that day.... we should have done counter service!!!! so, never again.

We did the new character breakfast at Tusker House last year.... and loved it!! so we plan that breakfast again. as for dinner there... don't know.

Where is the "Wave"? guess I've been away from the boards a while.

Thanks for the comments. My kids are starting to move past the "have to see characters" stage. We've done several Character meals over the years (Chef Mickeys, Princess Storybook, Liberty Tree, Crystal Palace, Donald's Breakfastasaurus, 1900 Park Fare, Garden Grill - that's all I can remember). We decided to skip it this time. We've eaten at 'Ohana twice and love it so that's why we're going back. We haven't had breakfast at Kona and since we're staying at Poly I thought it would be good. We ate at Tusker House when it was CS so I'm glad to hear it is a good TS choice. Thanks for the heads up on 50s Prime Time. I wasn't sure about that one so we'll probably skip it. What did you not like about Boatwright's? DH and I ate there on our honeymoon 16 years ago.

you are eating at a lot of our favs!! Cape May IMO is the best buffet on property and we have a tradition of eating at Ohana on the last night of every trip! LOVE IT! and Kona breakfast is good too.. large portions, be warned!

as for the Wave, we couldn't fit it in during our Nov trip, but are looking forward to it in May! I hear a lot of good things!

Not that Boatwrights was bad..... just not worth the trip to PO if you are staying at the Poly. too many other choices that are better and closer.

Cape May Cafe - dinner Awesome! We love this place. I have a ton of pics and full review in my Oct link

Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Dinner Package You could not pay me to eat here again, just terrible food, terrible service and overall terrible experience

'Ohana - dinner One of our favorite meals from our April trip....very good food and a great server that let us take our time and enjoy the experience

Kona Cafe - breakfast Been here many many times and it has always been great. Have 2 breakfasts scheduled for next month!

LeCellier - dinner We really enjoyed our meal there and I was lucky enough to book another dinner there for March, just 3 months in advance too!

We had a great breakfast at Ohana and a super dinner at Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic package:)

We've done Cape May Cafe for dinner twice--loved it the first time, thought it was fair the second time; like MickeyNicki--you could not pay us to eat at Hollywood & Vine--we've done it twice--never again' we've never done Ohana, The Wave or Kona Cafe. Boatwright's is another one you couldn't pay us to eat at again for dinner--45 minutes past our ADR time to be seated, rude host, unfriendly server and just terrible steaks and whatever they said was potatos--and very, very loud (we are going to try it for breakfast t hough because DH wants to try the sweet potato pancakes). LeCellier--one of our favorite must-do's every trip.

As a suggestion for another place, how about Biergarten in Germany at Epcot? It is a buffet with something for everyone and the kids would enjoy the live music and dancing.

I agree. I don't think I would make the trip over to PO just to eat at Boatwrights. I think I would rather try something at the Wilderness Lodge or the Grand Flo.

I've also read a hundred times that the Fantasmic dinner package is not worth the price considering how poor the seating is. There will probably be long lines in June, but the package seats stink!

Other than that, love Le Cellier and O'Hana!

See you in June!
