when the cover first came out, a few months ago, I freaked my daughter out because I knew all the words.

I so can relate to that! My DD just discovered the soundtrack to Grease, and couldn't believe that Mommy knew all the words!

my older dd is 13 now, and the younger dd is almost 12. I lost control of the car radiio. even worse, I am no longer allowed to sing along -- whenever there's something on one of "their" stations that I like too, they'll quickly change the station to something "rap". ugh!

but they can't believe how many of "their" songs are covers of stuff from the 70's.

My 4 year old loves that song! I thought she was sleeping the other night and the song was on a TV show..all of a sudden I hear her little voice singing "I want to get lost in your rock and roll and drift away"
