Weather Time! :umbrella:

Accuweather: Temps in the mid-upper 80s with 35/35/12/11% chance of t-storms. They show rain on the little picture for Saturday but say "Windy with rain possible" and list 0 inches of rain for the days predicted totals?? :confused3 I'll just ignore this one!

Weather.com has temps in the low to mid 80s with 40/30/30/10% chance of shower/t-storms each day. Not bad!

Weatherunderground says temps will be in the mid to upper 80s with 40/30/30/40% chance of showers each day. OK too!

Myforecast.com: Mid to upper 80s with 60/50/50/50% chance of showers each day. Mehhh...

There is still talk of Tropical Storm Nicole developing and heading toward Florida toward the middle/end of this week. I'll continue to watch...

In other news... I just heard breaking news (love my iphone) that Southwest is buying Air Tran... Good news?? :confused3 I guess that's better than Air Tran buying Southwest!

I also heard on the news today about SW buying AirTran. My aunt says they are very similar. Maybe this means AirTran will stop charging for luggage? It just went up by $5 a bag, so now it's $20 for each checked bag. Grr... (Can you tell that's the airline we're flying with on Saturday?)

So I just read and saw images for the "Nicole" It is predicted to be in Florida Wednesday, then move upward Thursday and Friday. Great news for me! That's good news and bad news for you, right? Good news is that it should be in and out of Florida before you get there but the bad news is that you live on the East coast so it could affect your flight. Let's hope it doesn't gain intensity and just brings rain! :)

That's who we fly with too - I never even thought about them losing the luggage fee. I have flights booked for November and my first thought was :scared1: hope they don't cancel/significantly change my flights :headache:

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens with Southwest & Air Tran...

I guess that would be good as far as Florida weather goes since we get there mid-day Thursday. I wonder how much it would effect air travel. I'm sure it wouldn't be all the way up here by Thursday morning so we should be able to get out as long as there is an airplane here for us. Hopefully it will start to break up once it hits land and it won't amount to much more than rain. :confused3

::yes:: Me too!!!

Hi Amy. Happy Belated Birthday!! Hopefully no storms headed your way!! So close:dance3:

Thanks Doreen!

Happy 3 days and Happy Belated Birthday:cool1::cool1:

Thank you!!

:welcome: I wonder what they'll do... My guess it that they'll move to Southwest policies - which would be free luggage! :thumbsup2

Hopefully they won't make changes to the flights that are already scheduled.

3 Days til Disney! That's pee your pants exciting! Almost as exciting as having the house to yourself until 5pm on Mondays!!

I noticed that you wrote "exploring" the food and wine festival. Where's the TASTING food & wine festival????? :rotfl:

Thanks for the welcome - I didn't realize that was my first post....I've been following along for quite awhile.

The email I got from AirTran about the purchase said it would be until everything was finalized they would still operate as two business and it would be "business as usual". Selfishly, I just want them to get through November before they start making any changes. Unless, of course, if they want to not charge us for luggage - I would be ok with that!:rolleyes1

Haha! What a great surprise it would be to walk up to the desk on Saturday and have them go "Actually, it's not $40 to check your bags, it's $0." I can dream can't I? :rotfl:

I'll keep my fingers crossed that your flights won't change! :)

I didn't think it was your first post either, but I clicked on the little thing that shows you how many posts each person has had and it said you only had one. :confused3 You're following along on the Spectrum Mom's report right?

I'm sure the AirTran thing will work out - it always takes a long time for those types of things to happen.

:rotfl: That would be funny! But I'm sure it's way too soon!

Three Days! Three Days! :yay:

You will love the Food and Wine Festival! It is so much fun!

Hope you are getting lots done today!

I think I am excited about SW buying AirTran. AirTran is our big discount airline here in Atlanta (no Southwest), so now I am hoping we will be able to get the great deals all of you get flying on Southwest. :thumbsup2

Yay for Southwest coming to your neighborhood! I love them!

I am getting a lot done - work, groceries and now I'm working on Tim's lists. ;)

pee in your pants excited....:lmao:

Oh boy...is there something we need to know :rotfl::rotfl:

Happy 3 days Amy...glad Matthew is moved out of FL way...but stinky still have to worry about another storm

can't wait to hear about the F&WF no matter what the weather...I know you will have a great time! just have those ponchos and crocs

Three days!!!!:banana::banana: Hopefully Nicole will stay away and go swim with the fishes. The weather is looking pretty good - some rain, but that's almost unavoidable. Hopefully it will just be those quick simple down showers and you'll be done.
