Give me a good place to meet friends at MK

We're meeting some folks from home on Friday, June 18 at MK to watch Spectro & Wishes. We're WDW vets but they're making their first trip. We'd like to meet about one hour before Spectro in the castle/MainStreet area if possible. Any ideas?

That's easy! At the Partners statue in the middle of the hub. But be there early if you want a seat!

Assuming you are doing the early parade, an hour before Spectro you can forget that area IMHO if they are first timers. The curbs are already going to be full and you will only be able to navigate on Main Street proper. If you are doing Wishes/ second parade you will barely be able to navigate Main Street- if at all.

Assuming you are watching the first parade, you better make it at least 1 1/2, but preferably two hours before (I would suggest the partner statue in front of the castle). If you want to get a decent spot I would definitely make it two hours in case one of you gets held up for some reason. If it has to be an hour- meet them outside the turnstiles

Why not meet them some place other then at Main Street, then walk over together to stake your spot for the parade? You could even meet by a food counter so you can collect your parade watching treats! Or meet and have dinner together, then head over for the parade. Just some other ideas!
