Give it to me straight about the Wish

I priced one out for December and it is 3200 for yacht club 4 day cruise out of MCO. That's probably equivalent to the Wish. I will keep that in mind for the future. I've always wanted to try concierge.
r.e. bold -- When comparing the VALUE for your $$$$ keep in mind that a Yacht Club All Inclusive Cruise provides far more than a DCL Concierge experience and our January YC Cruise is less than $100 above a WISH Verandah.

We have a January YC for 4 nights on Grandiosa -- $3,682 and on WISH for a Verandah (NOT Concierge) 4 night $3,620

If you go for YC and have questions just ask and ENJOY

I could never afford DCL concierge. That not even an option.

my husband and I sailed the wish Nov 2022 as our first DCL. We loved it! But we were hearing all these bad things about and were confused? Since we have sailed fantasy Dec 2024, and magic June 2025.
Now that we can compare I still love the wish! I think I would rank fantasy, wish, magic, just based off memory. We are sailing the wish again with my soon to be 2 year old next month and I am excited to be back on it.
I felt like the magic was underwhelming for me compared to fantasy and wish, but we still enjoyed it!

My opinion
Wish- wins for quick service dining, I think the ship is stunning, and I think my toddler will like the nursery and the indoor play area, and love the splash pad

Fantasy- wins for adult pool area space, kids areas better than the Magic, the Nemo splash pad was great for my son

Magic- wins for rotational dining, we had an amazing housekeeper and our dining staff was good.

I love DCL, but I'm not a fan of the Wish and won't sail on it again. There are a lot of beautiful spaces and things that I like about it. I love the coffee bars and lounges. But the biggest issue for me is the dining. They don't offer a buffet or other alternative to people for dinner. Unless you count eating a BLT on your lap in your room, or having to pay for an upgraded adult-only experience. And I really don't enjoy the noisy, over-crowded, over-stimulating, rushed experiences on The Wish. The dining rooms are one of my favorite things on the other ships, although I still prefer to have a buffet or relaxed dining room as an alternative like ALL OTHER cruise lines offer. But I just don't enjoy them on The Wish at all. 1923 is wonderful, although still very crowded. But I just simply can't handle the other 2. I can't hear my own table mates or servers and we're packed in line sardines. And I'm not going to pay that price and eat pizza on the deck or wings on my bed. We shouldn't have to pay for Palo every night, especially since my youngest son can't even join us.

I still love the Fantasy and other classic ships. But they really need to stop trying to shove everyone into the dining rotation every night since they've all been turned into theater productions. It's just not our thing.

Are you okay with the dining rooms on the Fantasy? I agree it would be nice if the ships had more alternatives for dinner. They should have made the dining rooms bigger or had a fourth dining room for that many guests.

I only got to do it because we got bumped from the wish and the Med cruises didn't fit our schedule for 2023. So we did a week at Concierge at half price.

Was it really nice? Absolutely. But I'll take 2 DCL cruises over one concierge again without a second thought.

I love the MDRs on the Fantasy. MUCH more than the Wish. I still would prefer an alternative for the nights we just don't feel like going to the MDRs. But I like all of them.

It's odd that they made the dining rooms and venues so small on such a big ship. Even the gym is tiny

We have been on 40+ cruises on eight lines (including 16 DCL). The only ship I've hated in all of those cruises is DCL Wish. I think it's totally & poorly conceived with horrible Feng Shui--super crowded public spaces, weird dead ends, tiny little lounges, tacky fake flowers hanging from the ceiling, restaurants' tables packed so close together they might as well be family style (plus the loud intrusive dinner 'shows'), the ridiculous afterthought they call adult pool area, etc. Couldn't wait to get off that ship!
