We went there today for lunch because I saw the WW add on TV the other day, we have lunch at Fridays alot, and they are Atkins friendly so when I saw the commercial saying they now have points meals I was like YEEE HAAA

So we tried it today and I was SOOOOOO excited to go out to lunch but not have to guesstimate and feel quilty all day!!:jumping1: There was 4 of us Myself, DFriends who are also WWing, and DH who likes to pretend he is but really isnt. We got a quesadia type thing that was cut into 4 wedges for 10 points, we split it 4 ways, 2.5 pts each. I had a 4 point grilled chick salad, THEN I HAD A 4 POINT CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH RASBERRY that I split with DH. What a nice lunch with no worry and only 8.5 points!!!

You need to try it out!

Awesome! I'm not a WW'er, but having the nutritional info on the menu is perfect for me! I can't wait to try the new menu items - they sound so yummy, and I love that they use whole wheat tortillas and lots of veggies. I heard a rumor about this new menu months ago, and I'm so glad to see that it finally arrived. Thanks for letting us know! :teeth:

I have my next meal at Applebee's all planned out already! :p My cousin (also a WW) & I like to meet and go out about once a month and, we had already pre-selected Applebee's for this week, until she had to cancel. :sad1: So, I have to wait until next Friday or, the one after that, to give this new menu a try! I am sooooo happy to see some non-Atkins, carb-related, menu items for a change. I'm not knocking Atkins, those dieters should be in heaven but, I'm jealous. Now at least, there's somewhere WW friendly! :sunny: Thanks for the rave reviews! ::yes::

I can't wait to give it a try on Saturday!!! :D

We went on 5/18/04.

I tried the French Onion Au Grautin and the Sizzling Chicken Skillet.

Soup
The soup was really tasty and seemed like more than the usual CUP of French Onion that I order. It took a long time to eat, and I wasn't finished even when they brought my meal. For a 3 point soup, it was a definate keeper!

Entree
There were lots of veggies and grilled chicken. 4 triangled wheat tortillas (not whole tortillas). There was a tomato salsa, liceburg lettuce and pico de gallo (over the lettuce) as sides. It was filling and very tasty. Granted it wasn't exactly like the fajitas that are cooked in oil. Everything was cooked dry, so it lacked that same flavor that you get when the onions, peppers and chicken are grilled in oil. But for 10 points, it was a good lowfat option.

I haven't been to Applebeess in a couple of years but the WW menu might be a good reason to give it a shot again. Does anyone know if any other restaurants will follow suit with adding WW selections to their menus?

:D

Hi Cindy,
No it will just be applebees because WW's and APplesbees signed an exclusive agreement.

What would help though and be just as good if all restaurants would put nutritional info on their menus like Ruby Tuesdays! I am so happy that all these restaurants are doing this.
