Girls Trip #1 (check in daily for any plans being finalized or changes/updates)

Hello ladies!! I'm home now. Well, we got home around 2 but I've been doing things around the house.

We went and stayed at the "new" Planet Hollywood. It used to be the Aladdin but they re-did it. It's very nice. Not too fancy or stuffy but fun and modern. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.
We had a very nice night out alone.

Then this morning we met with his parents for breakfast at the Rio while the kids were in school.

And right after that, I headed over to Caesars Palace and the Cheesecake Factory to meet up with Meriweather and her friend for lunch. Some of you might know her from the CB or exchanges.

I have to say she is one of the nicest ladies!! Fun too. I really enjoyed meeting with her. Her friend was really nice as well. I'm glad we were able to spend some time together and I hope they enjoy the rest of their time here in Vegas. Sounds like they had some fun things planned including a trip to the Disney store outlet.

Well, I hope everyone is having a good Monday so far. I've got to get the kiddos started on homework, then I'll check back later.

I forgot to post that Dagny and I are looking to arrive Thursday and leave Monday.

Once we get the room booked we have to find flights. I was going loopy on the weekend with all the airport options (Toronto, Buffalo, SNA and LAX) and trying to match them up with Dagny. Not to mention the best fare! I finally snapped and decided I'll book something eventually and worse case I'll get a transfer from LAX/SNA to the hotel instead of Dagny coming back or waiting for me.

I started a temp job today...UGH...filing. I could NOT do this job full time. Is two weeks over yet?

Hi Shelley. Sorry about the hassles with the flights. I hate air travel these days! They charge so much and give you so little, and it's a giant pain in the butt!! Hopefully when the time comes you'll get a great deal and a good flight.

And hang in there with the filing!! Just keep thinking of the money.

Shell - tried to catch you online last night... it looks like I may need to leave Sunday night now. We have our annual conference at work the following weekend and I will need some time to prepare for that. Still trying to see if flights times will cooperate with an early Monday flight, but with the time difference, nothing it jumping out at me.

On a lighter note, it looks like Lauren may join us as well - woo hoo - should I go ahead and book two rooms, LOLOLOL.... she is not having a lovely year so far and already really needs a vacation

Hello ladies! I hope everyone is having a good day so far.

My husband has one more class until he finishes his masters at UoP. It has been convenient, but don't count on seeing your family much during the weekend. There are large papers or group projects due every week, plus you will also have to make time to meet with your learning team. It is doable with a full time job, and the time has gone pretty quickly. I can't believe he is almost done!
He's sweating just a little bit, because we will be in Hawaii for 10 days during his last class. (For a corporate meeting for his work) But he will only miss one class. He will have to e-mail his papers in for the week that he is gone.

Right now, I am taking UoP online because we thought we were moving out-of-state. It is a lot like this except it is all online. It is convenient...I am able to get through my classes even if we have to go out of town. I just take my DH's lap top.
I love it...I graduate May 09 then I am transferring to Boise State to continue on in my education.
