So that's 6 of us interested? You, Cynthia, Nicole, Andrea, myself and Jen? Am I missing anyone? How do you go around renting points? The whole thing is so foreign to me.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me everyone. I talked with another HR of a store close to Disneyland today and they are currently hiring for their super-duper-early-morning position. I wouldn't mind doing that until something closer to what I'm doing now opens up. He said to have my HR send my information and we'll see what we can make happen. Other than that I officially have my last day that I'm available for my current store figured out: March 22! That's less than 3 weeks away.
My fingers are crossed! :woohoo:

Yep, BiilyJazz, mine are too. Good luck with transferring. You are working at Disney too, right? My DD worked for WDW with their CP and will likely go back. Disney is a great company.

Who all was planning to go to DL in October (the 18th-21st or around there)?

I know Lisa and Carol both mentioned it. I can't remember who else...

I started a group on FB for those of us going during that time. Just someplace we can post our dates and plans, etc. Let me know if you'll be there so I can add you. :thumbsup2

I just booked a 2 queen room at the Hojo with a Park view for $89 for that Friday night (October 19). If there is another Diva who wants to bunk with me and split it, I have a queen bed waiting for you!

WAIT!!! HOLD EVERYTHING!!!

I just realized I never got to try the Practically Perfect punch from the Jolly Holiday Bakery. It was on my list, and I totally forgot.

This just won't do. I think I need to go back and buy some. Soon. Anyone want to run away with me?

:p

(sigh) If only it were that simple....

Tell me about it! I realized yesterday that I never even went inside the Jolly Holiday Bakery! :scared1::confused::eek: Ugh - I don't know how I missed that. :sad2:

And looking at Wendy's pics on FB today, I realized I forgot all about the BACON CHEDDAR POPCORN in NOS this weekend! ARGH!

ha ha, it would probably have a bite taken out of it. As soon as I bought them I had to try them.
:rotfl: Sounds like something I would do. lol

Too bad about the Villa's costing too many points that weekend. Do you need points in order to get the Villas?
Just cram 20 ladies into one room and it won't be that bad. You don't mind sleeping in a tub, do you?

Beth~ If I can find the eggs, I'll send you one. And no bite will be missing because I hate walnuts!!
Aw, aren't you sweet! Don't go out of your way or anything though.

The suites are ridiculously expensive. The standard rooms are also very pricey. In October, with a 30% discount, it was over $300 a night.
:scared1: $300 a night? After discount?? Wow.

Tell me about it! I realized yesterday that I never even went inside the Jolly Holiday Bakery! :scared1::confused::eek: Ugh - I don't know how I missed that. :sad2:
I finally went in, Sunday during magic morning, just before leaving the park to meet up for breakfast. I just went in and out real quick and got Ruben a Matterhorn macaroon. He loved it.

In the summer it is funny, when it starts climbing above 80 and especially if it is for a prolonged period of time, people get downright cranky - lol.
That's me! See, I belong there.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me everyone. I talked with another HR of a store close to Disneyland today and they are currently hiring for their super-duper-early-morning position.
Fingers crossed!!

Bummer to not have you with us next time Carol :sad2: But to my other roomies - if the price is not too crazy, let's do it.
Don't count Carol out just yet. I think she'll be there. I have faith she'll find a way. :wizard:

Well guess where I am going tomorrow? Yep....I'm off to the land again. LOL!!
:lmao: You crack me up!

:cool1: :thumbsup2

Bacon cheddar popcorn in NOS? Where? Yum!

It's at the cart next to the French Market, near the RR station. It has more of a smoky flavor than a bacon one, which is disappointing, but if you like cheddar popcorn, this is definitely for you! popcorn::

Thanks, Wendy. For some reason the smokey is not making it sound as exciting :confused3

I will be working at DLR as well, but it will only be seasonal/part time so I definitely still need another job if I'm going to make this work and I have no reason to leave Target altogether. I've had rough sports over the years but as a whole I love the company and I've already been there 7 1/2 years.

Best part is our annual reviews are coming up and I should get mine right before I leave. We like raises ;) And my boss has hinted that I'm going to be loving my review this year. It's good timing before I leave.

I hope I enjoy working for Disney just as much, if not more.

Maybe I will have me another caprese sandwich for you all. Yum!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that they make homemade potato chips there that are super good. Double yum! :cloud9:

Weren't those chips delicious?! I was raving about them after I tried them on Friday, I think it was. I'm honestly craving them right now too.

To the Divas going in October, I'll try and make it in to say hi and all that jazz. Maybe you'll all get to see me a-working. I really want to make it to another Halloween Party this year so hopefully I can make it happen.

I'm trying to talk my friend into going down to Disneyland for a few days with me for the Onboarding on the 14th. I was just going to drive down Wednesday morning, go in for my appointment at 4pm and then drive home Thursday at some point but I might add one more night if I can convince a couple more people to go on a short trip. It would actually be cheaper for me in the long run since all costs would be split. Either way I'll stop by Disneyland for a tiny little while. My boss couldn't remember what day I had to be back down so I'm not scheduled all week but I can pick up hours once I decide when I'm going to be gone.

Jessica, keeping your job at Target is a good plan. I love that store! If I worked there it would be hard for me not to want to buy the store out - lol.

Happy Saturday, Divas:cheer2:

That's how I feel! It was hardest when I first started, especially as a cashier. I saw everything other people were buying and kept making mental lists to go back and get my own. Then again, it's also just as bad now that I work with out clearance and promotional sales items. I tend to do a lot of shopping when I'm at work.

Good luck to ya :wizard:

Thank you for the beads - I got one, and you are not too far from me - I am 45 minutes or so north of you :)

Bummer to not have you with us next time Carol :sad2: But to my other roomies - if the price is not too crazy, let's do it.

Your are most welcome
So, you have an intense drive as well ;).

Welcome Charlene! :welcome: My name is Melody. So nice to have you join us. I hope you can see by the pictures that we have a ton of fun! :dance3::grouphug:

Thanks for the welcome Melody. Your are right, the pictures are great!

I really enjoyed those homemade potato chips as well. I didnt' notice, but could you get just a side order of them?

The Matterhorn Macaroons were also a big hit with my family. Had those twice!

That would be awesome if you could transfer stores Jess. Any closer to finding out where you're going to be living?

Clearance?? You can be my new bff.. just tell me what's next on mark downs. :flower3: ::yes:: :thumbsup2
I try to get the inside info from my nephew.. but he usually works dairy department :snooty: boooo, boring. Meh!

Actually, I read that mark downs start here in MN - takes awhile for the info to be parceled out and mark down teams to get to work. So when I read about people finding x for 75% off, I usually can't find it here anymore.

Sigh, I miss the heydays of hitting every clearance rack just walking the perimeters of the store. Total score every trip. :goodvibes Not so plentiful now, I think Target's stock ordering has tightened up. (except for weird seasonal flukes like our warm winter resulted in lots of shovels, mittens, sleds making it to clearance).

I'm trying out growing my own sprouts.
I thought it would be hard and take up lots of room.. nope and nope.

I bought an Easy Sprout Sprouter on Amazon
(thank you swagbucks for the gift cards)

easy-sprout_sprouter.jpg

and bought organic seeds online (free with a one time use code).

and now they are starting to sprout just two days after soaking.

I know that Cynthia, Nicole and Becci were interested in doing the villa again next year, so Jen and Jessica you might want to see if they want to do that with you. I decided that I am not going to try to rent points again with the point increase. Plus it is likely that I will not be able to come next year with the new dates so I don't want to commit to anything.

I finally started getting my voice back a couple of days ago, but I am still dragging. Beth, keep me posted on the plan for Oct. 19; Lisa and I will be there and want to meet up with everyone!

Carol, I just wanted to say thanks again for organizing the villa. It was great! I'm debating staying there for my trip in June. I'm glad your voice is coming back. I felt so bad for you. I'm in that boat now - I actually got sent home from work yesterday.

Hello, ladies!!

Just popping in for a quickie! I've been out running errands all day. I'm pooped!

I just now heard about the mess at DL with the suspicious package and all. Anyone hear from Mel or Katie? Did they get caught in that mess?
Gee, I guess it wasn't a good day to compare crowds to last week! :scared1: :rolleyes1 :rotfl: Oh, well.

I still think moving the dates back will provide lower crowds. I just hope everyone there today didn't have too much chaos to deal with. Oh, Kerri was there, too.

Alrighty, I'm outta here! TTYL!

I really enjoyed those homemade potato chips as well. I didnt' notice, but could you get just a side order of them?

Yes you can get a side order of chips. (Those chips are good!) A side order of chips and a large soft drink was under $5 with an AP discount. I can't remember the exact price of the chips, though.

It was quite disappointing. Fun to try something new though! :hyper:

Now I don't feel so bad for forgetting to get some! LOL
