I know I messaged melody that we need to get going more on the scavenger hunt. We have all our prizes and they are reallllllly good this year!
I know that the Ladies have kewl things planned for everyone in the hunt. Not as much running around but with some fun twists and turns.

Oohh i really liked that design that Heather made..hhmmm.. we can't blow it up?

The theme of this year is still pirate princess though, right?
I've already bought stuff to go with that theme.

I thought that was the theme too. And I agree with you about Heather's design for the pirate princess t. I'll bet we can blow it up.

I'm going to have to go to my Pulmonologist, i'm sicker today.
I hope I don't end up in the hospital this year. I've had the H1N1 already, now this flu, I have asthma that I really struggle with and some years are better than others. This year's flu season is not boding well for me.

I really like the designs that Melody's son made. I like my design also, but knew that several people did not like making the t's themselves. I think that's why we were thinking of doing something different. I thought the way we did last year was good because those that wanted to make it themselves could, and those that didn't could order a t online. As usual though, I'll go with the majority, and ask for help if I have to iron my design on myself.

I'm reading that many of us Divas are not feeling well. I'm sending prayers and healing vibes your way.

I really liked the pirate princess theme also, and have a few things already for it. I guess we won't know what's going on until the pizza party folks tell us what we need to plan for in that regard. Then again, last year our pizza party was a cool Mardi Gras theme, but the rest of the meet wasn't...so ignore me. I don't have a clue what I'm talking about!

I just wanted to mention that last year I formed the teams for the scavvy hunt. Then I confered with the scavvy ladies.
No one picked. When I made up the teams last year, I tried to put people together who knew each other. I also put alot of roomies together, cuz alot of us were still getting to know each other, and I thought this would help too.

Because there might be 4 in one room, we didn't want you to expect that was an automatic team this year. This was actually suggested from others not on the scavvy commitee, after all was said and done. Thought it might be nice to mix things up a bit more. Now that we all know each other a litlle more, we thought that would be good too.

We actually thought it would be good to mix up the type As. We didn't want to stack up the teams too much.

Now to eleviate any fears, we would have naturally put friends and family together.

When the time comes for sign ups, which look like they might be starting, please let me know who you would really like to be with. We as a commitee, will do the best we can to be fair, and make everyone happy.

Dawn I hope you start feeling better! I know how much it stinks to start to get better and then relapse! I am FINALLY starting to feel a bit better! That nasty headache is finally going away which I am grateful for since I have to work tomorrow and I REALLY want to be able to go see Christmas Carroll this weekend and it seems every time we plan something, something goes wrong like with Harry Potter LOL!

They had that deal at blockbuster so I rented Pelham 123 and I love you Beth Cooper and they were both good and then Shane got his game yesterday and he spent some time hooking it up but I went to bed early again last night but I am feeling better today so hopefully it is on it's way out!

Hope everyone else who is sick starts feeling better soon!

The girls have next Wed off for veteran's day so mom and I are hopefully going to take them and do something fun, probably just go to the galleria and have lunch and then they are going to have an awards deal at church next wed night so that should be fun. Then the following week they get that Friday off and mom and I are going to take the girls to the harvest festival. We used to go every year but the last few years something always came up. So I am looking forward to that. And then they have all of thanksgiving week off so hopefully we will do some fun stuff that week although I have a dentist AND a doc apt on two of those days but we will hopefully still do some fun stuff! Hopefully see New Moon one of those days!!

Mel I know mom is going to want to be on my team for the scavy hunt just because she doesn't know the others that well. She only met them last year and although she liked everyone she doesn't remember everyone very well and I think she would feel uncomfortable not being with me. And I would LOVE it if Mary Jo could be on our team again IF that is what she would like. And then my cousin Barbara said she might come down for 2 days and if so she would DEF need to be on our team because she won't know anyone but I won't know if she is coming till after thanksgiving. IF she doesn't come I am open to anyone else though!

I'm not sure I understand how the team thing is working, but it seems like it would be good to have inexperienced hunters in with more experienced. My friend Jamie won't know much about where to find things, but after scraping the bottom of the results list at MouseAdventure in December, I will at least be starting to get the hang of it. There will be consulation prizes, right?

Melody, I loved how you all put together the teams last year. I could tell that there was thoughtfulness behind the decision-making. Personally, I like/need a little push sometimes in order to meet new people. One of my biggest regrets from last year's trip was not extending myself out more to get to know others. On any future trips I get to attend, I'm going to do my best to change that. I'm for however you want to do it again this year.

And I'm not just sayin that cuz I'm not planning on going!!

these are all things that I took into account last year. I tried my best to put together those who needed to be. Especially newbies and family members.

Some of you will remember, that I got into contact with you, if I had any doubts. I will again.

I will write down requests as I get them.

Carol, cute picture... melody always does such a good job of putting groups together.. and we try to put friends together when we can.

Donna..the scavenger hunt is a fun filled community bonding activity. we try to put friends together when we can. this year we had quite a few people playing the mouse adventures and such so we didn't want to put them all on one team. that wouldn't be fair to those who get to go to the park once a year.

Kelly... yes we will do our best to put families together.

I say...................... Let's first get everyone signed up then we will worry about teams. Melody has such a cute thing planned for the theme.

This is one event where we work on it throughout the year, so naturally we would be thoughtful in the composition of the teams. And open to pm requests. Melody, Wendy, Cheryl and I have only the intention of creating a happy fun time for our friends.
