Hey, wondering if anyone can tell me why Gray is on bedrest?? I am so behind in my TV watching and caught up on one of my DVR episodes and saw that but have no idea why??? Please help your desperately behind diva who otherwise may never know.

Donated an organ (piece of her liver, IIRC) to her dad, who she hates, but she did it for her sister, Little Gray, who begged her. Brought the two sisters closer, and set us up for a reconciliation with her dad (hasn't happened yet, but I think it will).

I am soooo excitted for the fall and christmas holidays. I'm going to bake lots and lots of sugar cookies and fudge! I'm keeping it simple this year only two things. I normally do alot of different cookies.

Yesterday I had my grandbabies make their lists for christmas and they each only put down two things. So sweet, not greedy smurfs, like their Grandma

So i'm going to online shop for.. two special stuffed kitties, an art kit, an iron man comforter and a spiderman! I've already got things i've been picking up throughout the year. I want to wrap everything in a couple of weeks and put it in the store room so when I come back from my grandmother's 90th birthdayon the 31st, we can decorate the tree then put the presents out!

Hello all! Got back from DLR last night. Had a great trip! Really behind on the thread - maybe I'll have time later to read back.
The crowds were crazy on Friday and Saturday evenings, but other than that it wasn't too bad. The weather was perfect!
Now it is back to the old routine. Need to get some laundry done.
On the bright side I can be thankful that I will be back there in about 3 weeks for our pre-Thanksgiving trip! Going to check out the Pirates Suite at HOJO also!

Ooohh what did You get at PF Changs? I love their Kung Pao Scallops.. without the nuts.. they are soooo Delicious! Maybe we will take my parents there this week. Once a week we take them out to eat.

I have a pot of fresh veggie soup cooking on the stove and it smells so good.

Well, since you asked....

Part of what made it so special is that I am so weird about eating out. I must know what everyone is having and then must taste everything everyone gets (only my family and close friends, of course - although I did ask Tina for an olive from her salad at WCT after she proclaimed she didn't like them). So, DH & DD told me to pick everyone's meal and we would all share. They did not utter a peep about what they would like. Sooooo, with their wonderful diverse menu I chose:

Fried Greenbeans
Salt & Pepper Calamari

Wok fired Lamb with cilantro and lettuce
Spicy Chicken (a menu favorite)

Lemon Drop thingy for dessert

Anyway, everything was dee-lish and I felt very spoiled.

Mmmmm, I love just about any homemade soup. And veggie sounds very healthy.

Thank you everyone for the birhtday wishes. I had a wonderful day.

Drove to DL fairly early to get my $72 giftcard. Rode Buzz, ate a corn dog, took the monorail to DTD (that's where I parked) and left. It was very hot and crowded when I left at 11:30 am.

Then Chris, Bree & I went to the Humane Society and got a new kitty. His name is Spike and he is soooo cute! I will post pix later.

Then we had dinner at PF Changs. Everything was really tasty and the service was excellent. Breezy & I finished the evening off with a bottle of Rosa Regale and watched Desperate Housewives (this show is getting dumb).

Now it's Monday, ugghhh.

Yay for a new kitty! I'm sorry it was hot and crowded. I wonder since the Halloweentime is over and it's a Monday if the crowds are considerably thinner today. I'll definitely report back with pictures.

It'll be my first alcoholic beverage but I've already coated my stomach with lunch and two cups of water. My mom said never to drink on an empty stomach. I also plan on indulging myself with a corndog! I'll probably get the margarita as soon as I arrive and I won't be heading back to my apt until 7pm.

Along with my roomies I invited my small group over for virgin margaritas and a dance dance revolution party! Woot!

Cristabel, enjoy your day at DL!!! And your drink. I hope you get carded! lol The first time I ordered a drink after I turned 21 I didn't even get asked to show ID. That's part of what I was looking forward to!! And hopefully you'll enjoy your first drink more than I enjoyed mine. I was like, seriously, this is gross!! But it's saved me lots of money over the years on alcohol.

If the traffic is perfect...and that doesn't happen very often here in CA as you know...it takes an hour. But an average it takes 1.5 hours.

We/I normally take the 118 to the 5 but we have also taken the 118 to the 210 and then take the 605 and hook into the 5 after a loft of the traffic has died down or you can take the 57 instead of the 605 and zip right into DL. The 210 route is longer but if traffic on the 5 stinks and it often does then the 210 route is faster. I wish there was an easier, quicker route. How do you normally go do to DL?
