The biggest news in my world is that we booked a weeklong WDW trip for the week of May 10th today. As of right now we are booked at All Star Sports since we tend to spend so little time in our room, but that may change down the road. I am using a Disney only travel agent and I love, love, love her! She and I literally talked for almost an hour today and all I was really calling to do was to make my deposit.

OK, girls. I know not all of you are on FB, so I have to tell you what happened to me today. I have three catering jobs this weekend, so I was at Costco, picking up a cartload of things they don't carry at Restaurant Depot. I was in line at the register, and the couple in front of me had separate orders and an expired membership. So it took a while for them to finish up. And just when I handed the clerk my membership card, the power went out. I waited maybe 20 minutes or so, because I needed my stuff! The power finally came up for about 1 minute and went out again. And then we started smelling smoke, and people started running from behind closed doors yelling "evacuate, evacuate!" So I left in a somewhat orderly fashion without my goods, and had to go to another Costco across town.

We went to my grandparents and my Mom made dinner. It was really nice. My aunt's funeral is on Wednesday. I think I'll just take the day off again.

I just went back only a few pages...christabel that cut is great, and you're looking really terrific! Courtney, sorry about your aunt. Cheryl, I keeping meaning to PM you, but in case I forget again, check your office mail (the address you gave me way back in March)! American Girl...all the talk reminds me of the scene in The Gameplan... DC is great. OK that's all I can remember.


No trips planned for the near future at all...will really only know about any all-female trips right before it...we got all brainwashed by the whole Ramsey thing and are trying to smash down our car loan right now. Then it's DVC up next...convenient timing, to get into Ramsey, AFTER buying in, right? If we'd gotten into it before, we wouldn't have bought. I think that's calling having our cake and eating it too, LOL. Robert's back at amazon, a product tester, and he's off on a quick international trip (very quick...leaves Sunday morning, comes back Monday afternoon) to check if something works somewhere. I knew it was coming, but I'm all bummed about it. Surely it can't have anything to do with the fact that Monday is our anniversary, can it?

We joined the YMCA, E is taking gymnastics classes, I finally got to work out, the drug Robert's taking for the pituitary tumor thing continues to have visible results as he melts off the poundage all the prolactin in his system had put on... Seems to be all good 'round here, except for my bummed out mood about the business trip, quick as it will be.

Tomorrow's the big company picnic, and it won't be nearly as hot as it was last year, so hopefully I won't have to spend an hour or more in the 1st Aid tent again. We're also not taking Robert's niece, so that's good...if any of you saw my confused/desperate post on the CB last year 'round this time, where my post got one of the very very few unanimous answers on the CB, you know I'm very glad she won't be around. Sad sad sad when you can't trust a 9 year old around your littler kid...she's just lived a really rough life, and seems to be taking away all the WRONG things. Gotta protect my dude, and her mom won't listen to us, so there's nothing (short of calling the authorities) we can do. Anyway, she won't be with us for this picnic, and that's good.

So that's about all that's up with me, should anyone wonder.

But then it will quickly be Labor Day and we'll be off to DLR to celebrate Ty's 2nd birthday!!!

Jane that is great about your DW trip! I am jealous! We have had a trip planned every year for the past 9 years and this is the first time we have NONE planned. It is kind of weird and sad in a way. But I know we will go back some day. We just have OTHER things we want to do for awhile. I know that we will ALWAYS go to DL every year no matter what at least once a year so I will get my disney fix that way but we have our big road trip next summer and then we want to go to Europe in the next few years IF we can afford it! That is the key. I would love to go to Hawaii again someday and take the kids to Mexico as well. So LOTS of things I would like to do that are non-Disney but as always money is always the deciding factor LOL.

Stacerita hope you had fun and "survived" your day at MM. I've never been there but I've been to parks similar to that up here in our area. They sure make you appreciate Disney after you go to them. I'm sure you had fun though!!

Today I have TONS of laundry to tackle! All that post vacation fun! Lynn has her training for her job. I can't remember if I told you guys but she got a job at A&W so she goes to that today and we are not sure when she starts yet but probably sometime next week. So she has to do that today and Shane has to take that VA test that he was supposed to take before we left but he rescheduled. I plan to do absolutely NOTHING but laundry. For whatever stupid reason this issue that I am having is also affecting my sciatic nerve so between the two I am really out of commission. The sucky part is I can't find any comfortable position. Neither sitting, laying or anything helps so it makes it hard. I have my follow up with my uro on Monday from way back when I had that surgery and THAT issue has still been bothering me too on top of everything else but that has been going on for the last two years so I have almost gotten used to it by now. But when you have pain in that region it is hard to tell if the pain from one area isn't affecting the other. And the uro TOLD me that might happen. Like phantom pains. Like if you have a tooth ache in your bottom tooth your top tooth hurts too if that makes sense. So I am not sure if my bladder is still ACTUALLY bothering me or if it is just hurting because of everything surrounding it. So we shall see what he says but I ALSO have to call the GI doc back and tell him that I am still in pain and hopefully he will refer me to the colo/rectal specialist so I can get these issues fixed! And don't ask me WHY this is affecting my sciatic nerve. The only thing I can think of is I am sitting weird because I am in pain and since I am not evenly distributing my weight it is tweaking my back and thus affecting my nerve. Whatever it is it sucks I know that. All I know is I have NEVER had something go on like this for almost 3 months straight and it is getting REALLY old AND upsetting being in constant pain and I can't do anything about it. I have been eating pain pills like candy and they barely even take the edge off. I just hope that SOMEONE can do something! I am really afraid that Oct will be ruined if they can't get this fixed cuz there is no WAY I could go on rides right now.

Oh well I have a few months still!

Anyway one more week till school starts so we got the supply list in the mail so we have to run out sometime either this weekend or next week and get that and then Monday they are posting the teachers so the girls are excited to find out who their teachers are and who will be in their classes with them.

I'll be honest I am not looking forward to getting up at 6 again LOL.

Anyway I am going to get off now cuz this sitting is starting to hurt.

Good morning all! We left Portland yesterday to spend a few days in Phoenix visiting friends. While waiting at our gate at the airport (Alaska Airlines), DH looked out and saw one of the Disney planes landing. I just caught a glimpse of it and asked him if it was the Tinkerbell or the other one. He wasn't sure and I was telling him about the time that I flew on the other one coming home from Las Vegas a few years ago. Then I saw that our plane was arriving at our gate and.....it was the Tinkerbell plane! I was so excited, I felt like a little kid. No one else seemed to care, not even the people sitting near us wearing Disneyland shirts. DH was taking pictures of it and of me sitting by the window with the plane in the background. Then of course we had to stop the line while boarding the plane so he could get another picture of me. It was so cool, the doors over the carry-on luggage compartments are all painted blue with stars (pixie dust) and pictures of Tinkerbell and the castle. I think there are just the two planes and now I have been on both of them, neither time when I was going to Disneyland though!

We are staying at the Royal Palms Resort. Wow, this place is awesome! Yay for good deals on Phoenix hotels in the summer! I have never been here but DH used to photograph weddings in Phoenix so has been here a few times. It was built in the 1920's and has recently been renovated and is just gorgeous with 5-star service. We are getting ready to take a long walk through the neighborhood around Camelback Mountain and then spend some tiime at the pool before taking a drive through the desert with the top down on our rented convertible.

What a nice get away. I have never seen a plane painted up with Tinkerbell.. How fun!!

Now I need good vibes, just for the normal once-a-year exam and mammo coming up soon. And that the biopsy on the nodule on my thyroid comes back okay. The Dr. said it just looks like inflammation, but wanted to make sure. Those 4 needles she stuck me with HURT!!

Ouch!! That does sound like it would hurt. I hope all comes out normal.

DBF and I are going to take the boat out and go fishing. I just got a cute Pink fishing pole from WalMart.

How cute!!

Tonight we get another 'alone' night and we are off to the Hollywood Bowl to hear Tchaikovsky with fireworks.

That sounds heavenly!

Tomorrow I am taking Bob's DS to the D23 Walt Disney Studio's Archive tour.

I want to be with you this weekend. This sounds really cool too!

I asked for a Cabbage Patch one year when I was in early elementary. My g'ma bought me one that year. Then bought me one for every christmas & birthday from that until I was in late Jr. High.
My kids had Cabbage Patch dolls. Even my boys...........(Dave wasn't too sure about that,) but they had fun playing with them with their sister. I thought it was good for them.

DH & I will be going to Costco. We our monthly costco trips.

I stayed home from work today. My aunt (My Dad's brother's wife) passed away yesterday, so I stayed home with my parents. Later we'll be heading to my grandparents house.

Yep, I had a ton too. I had forgotten them, and then a few years ago I was in a slot tourney in Vegas and when you got a certain combo they gave you trinket gifts--like keychains, etc.--and one of the gifts was a troll! LOL I had a ton of them--gave them to some kids I knew who thought they were kewl!.

I think mine went to my nieces who probably cut off all of their hair. Same goes with my Barbies.

Hi everyone! I am back and jet-lagged. We had a Canadian holiday and it was fantastic. What I love about the place is that you can enjoy all their great food (maple sugar cotton candy, crepes, yum) and still come back the same weight because you walk so much.

Sadly, I was nowhere near Theresa's territory, but on the other side. We saw Montreal and the city of Quebec, which was like being dropped into a Medieval city - incredibly charming with stone walls, narrow cobblestone streets, and polite people everywhere. The best thing was a fabulous, free, 45 min. multi-media presentation projected across a huge grain building by the water. It ran once at night. At times it looked like a train was running across it, or horses... the most amazing was when it looked like it was on fire, complete with smoke.

We saw this from the street and then our last night we looked out the window and realized we could see it from our room in the hotel!

I've read the last few pages - Beth, I am sooo happy to hear the good news on the no-biopsy!

Stacielee, I've been on thyroid meds for years. It's really easy. The problem with diagnosing hypothyroid conditions is many doctors do not treat it unless the numbers are obvious. But a good endocrinologist will be more sensitive to mild cases.

Huh. I see. Well, good thing you are taking steps to get it checked out. I'm glad the blood test came back ok. My family (my mom, aunts and grandma) all take medication for their thyroid. I'm sure at some point I will too.

Beth, you too on the thyroid, eh? Symptoms of hypothyroidsim = cold extremities (hands, feet), getting cold easily, falling asleep in the middle of the day, weight gain. I had all of those. The easiest way to test yourself is to take your temperature before you get out of bed in the morning for 5 days. Try not to move, have the thermometer by the bed. If it registers below 98.6 every day, and you are having symptoms or have a family history, it's time to see a good endocrinologist.

KELLY, that is so great that you took the girls on this wonderful, educational trip. All kids should be so lucky. I'm sorry about all the challenges on your body though. BTW, SW - if you fly them again, the secret is to get on a computer as soon as you are able - I think 24 hours ahead, and confirm. You'll get in the A boarding group that way and now they have the number assignment as well (at least on the flights I've been on). I know this time it wouldn't have helped you since your connection was late.

Can't believe no one would move to let a mom sit by her child. <sigh>

It's funny: I've only been on two WDW vacations, but I feel like something of an expert. And yet, I am totally using a travel agent if for no other reason than it means that I won't have to be up at 4 am one morning to make all of our ADRs! It will be fabulous to have someone else worrying about getting LeCellier dinner ressies , etc. And, if and when any discounts become available for our travel dates she will automatically rebook us to get the best deal. Oh, and the best part was that the initial price she got us was $100 less than I was able to find on WDW site!

So I had something WONDERFUL happen to me on Thursday night I am dying to share with someone. Those of you on my Facebook know I've been having to keep this a secret until Sunday. Since I'm safe to share it on here.....here goes....

My mom invited Ayden and I to dinner on Thursday night. We met them right inside the door of the restaurant. We were standing there talking when all of a sudden my niece and nephew from WASHINGTON walked in and said can we join you? OMG I about died..........I just hugged them and immediately started bawling like a baby. I have missed them so so SO very much. Especially lately. I've been in a real funk lately and just missing my sister and the kids immensly. So that was my surprise. They are surprising their other grandparents here in town tomorrow morning at church so I haven't been able to be public about it until after that since my sisters mother in law is on my FB friends list. Everyone on my FB thinks I was either engaged or pregnant. Thursday was our 3 year anniversary
So needless to say I have been spending as much time with them as possible.
They leave on Tuesday. Now something sad brought them here.....my sisters best friend just lost her Grandma and they drove down for her service. They brought my niece and oldest nephew with them. Too bad it wasn't the whole family but right now I feel on top of the world to have them here with me.

Good morning girls.

Kelly, it's great to have you back safe and sound from your trip. I sooooooooo hope that your pain can be resovled. That sounds just HORRIBLE!


Well, I've pretty much had a crappy week. First, I felt sick most of the week (starting Tuesday morning).....week, tired, shaky, and the back of the neck hurt really bad and then the pain went up the back of my head, so I had a really bad headache too. And I hardly ever get headaches, so it was just strange for me. Anyway, that finally seemed to subside as of yesterday. Maybe it was some kind of virus?

Then, I've been experiencing lots of hot flashes this week. Usually I would only get them at night when I was in bed, but this week I've started to get them during the day too I don't know......I've heard that women can start to experience these things even in their mid to late 30s, and I am 39 years old as of Labor day, but still, aren't I too young for this? Okay, maybe don't answer that - LOL.

Finally, my brother was taken to jail Thursday night.....again. It wasn't a big deal really, and the judge dropped all the charges because they were bogus. (One of my SIL's girlfriends, just as a big joke and to be evil, decided to call the police up here to make a report that my brother was threatening to kill one of his daughters. Can you believe that?!!! Yeah, she did it just to get my brother arrested because she hates him.) My SIL didn't even know her friend did that, until while they were watching TV after just getting home from having pizza somewhere, the doorbell rings, and it's the police. SURPRISE, we're here to take you to jail from a call we recieved from Scottsdale AZ. Both my brother and SIL were like, "Whaaaaa?!" Now my SIL wants a divorce from my brother because her friend down in Scottsdale, the one who called the police with the bogus charge, keeps telling her she needs to divorce my brother. Interestingly, the friend from Scottsdale has been divorced 3 times now. I guess now that she doesn't have a man to divorce herself, she's getting her divorce needs fulfilled by manipulating her friends into getting one. My SIL is particularly easy to manipulate because she has fairly sever bi-polar disorder. Anyway, blah blah blah.

Personally, I think my brother should get a divorce. Maybe he could have a normal life for a change. Stay friends with my SIL of course so they could both be good parents for their kids, but a divorce and living apart would give him the opportunity to get out of the mayhem that my SIL and her friends create. My brother has a hard time with the idea of divorce because he's been taking care of my SIL (with her severe bi-polar) for 14 years now, and I think he fears what will happen to her and/or the children if he's not there to make sure she's taking her meds.

Family drama......gotta love it.

Sorry to lay all this out there on you guys. Geesh, I'm not a very good Diva am I? I don't post anything for a couple of days, and then I come on here and just lay all this crummy, boring stuff on you. Seriously, I'm done and won't bore you anymore. Ummmm, lets change subjects......

OMG I about died..........I just hugged them and immediately started bawling like a baby. I have missed them so so SO very much. Especially lately. I've been in a real funk lately and just missing my sister and the kids immensly. So that was my surprise. They are surprising their other grandparents here in town tomorrow morning at church so I haven't been able to be public about it until after that since my sisters mother in law is on my FB friends list. Everyone on my FB thinks I was either engaged or pregnant. Thursday was our 3 year anniversary
So needless to say I have been spending as much time with them as possible.
They leave on Tuesday. Now something sad brought them here.....my sisters best friend just lost her Grandma and they drove down for her service. They brought my niece and oldest nephew with them. Too bad it wasn't the whole family but right now I feel on top of the world to have them here with me.

Kelly, it's great to have you back safe and sound from your trip. I sooooooooo hope that your pain can be resovled. That sounds just HORRIBLE!


Well, I've pretty much had a crappy week. First, I felt sick most of the week (starting Tuesday morning).....week, tired, shaky, and the back of the neck hurt really bad and then the pain went up the back of my head, so I had a really bad headache too. And I hardly ever get headaches, so it was just strange for me. Anyway, that finally seemed to subside as of yesterday. Maybe it was some kind of virus?

Then, I've been experiencing lots of hot flashes this week. Usually I would only get them at night when I was in bed, but this week I've started to get them during the day too I don't know......I've heard that women can start to experience these things even in their mid to late 30s, and I am 39 years old as of Labor day, but still, aren't I too young for this? Okay, maybe don't answer that - LOL.

Finally, my brother was taken to jail Thursday night.....again. It wasn't a big deal really, and the judge dropped all the charges because they were bogus. (One of my SIL's girlfriends, just as a big joke and to be evil, decided to call the police up here to make a report that my brother was threatening to kill one of his daughters. Can you believe that?!!! Yeah, she did it just to get my brother arrested because she hates him.) My SIL didn't even know her friend did that, until while they were watching TV after just getting home from having pizza somewhere, the doorbell rings, and it's the police. SURPRISE, we're here to take you to jail from a call we recieved from Scottsdale AZ. Both my brother and SIL were like, "Whaaaaa?!" Now my SIL wants a divorce from my brother because her friend down in Scottsdale, the one who called the police with the bogus charge, keeps telling her she needs to divorce my brother. Interestingly, the friend from Scottsdale has been divorced 3 times now. I guess now that she doesn't have a man to divorce herself, she's getting her divorce needs fulfilled by manipulating her friends into getting one. My SIL is particularly easy to manipulate because she has fairly sever bi-polar disorder. Anyway, blah blah blah.

Personally, I think my brother should get a divorce. Maybe he could have a normal life for a change. Stay friends with my SIL of course so they could both be good parents for their kids, but a divorce and living apart would give him the opportunity to get out of the mayhem that my SIL and her friends create. My brother has a hard time with the idea of divorce because he's been taking care of my SIL (with her severe bi-polar) for 14 years now, and I think he fears what will happen to her and/or the children if he's not there to make sure she's taking her meds.

Family drama......gotta love it.

Sorry to lay all this out there on you guys. Geesh, I'm not a very good Diva am I? I don't post anything for a couple of days, and then I come on here and just lay all this crummy, boring stuff on you. Seriously, I'm done and won't bore you anymore. Ummmm, lets change subjects......

I stayed home from work today. My aunt (My Dad's brother's wife) passed away yesterday, so I stayed home with my parents. Later we'll be heading to my grandparents house.

Capri--what a mess! Your poor brother! Why is it that really nice guys end up with these high-maintenance women? I just don't get it. Is there a possibility that your brother could get primary custody? Courts are more receptive to the husband having custody these days--he sounds like the more stable influence. How old are the kids? I agree that he needs a more normal life.

Glad you're feeling better--some of your symptoms also sound like hypoglycemia. I know that happens to me.

Happy Saturday ladies!!

I only have a minute but just wanted to stop in and say hi. I agreed to let the girls have a slumber party tonight, so I'm off to the store to pick up junk food and movies for them. It's going to be a long night. lol

Anyway, couple things before I go:

Donna, welcome back!!! Sounds like a nice trip. I'd love to see all the medieval looking places. Very cool. And thanks for the info on the thyroid stuff. I think I'm ok now, but with it running in my family so much, I do need to be on the look out for symptoms.

Capri, I am sorry for all the family drama. My half brother used to date a girl who was bi-polar. It was rough. Lots of drama there that I won't even get into, but he ended up in jail because of her too. Also false charges. In fact, after having him arrested, she went and bailed him out. So weird.
Anyway, vent with us anytime.

Oh, and I've been having hot flashes too!!! Sometimes I feel like I am just burning up. I'm only 37 so I thought I was too young for that but maybe not. Ahhhh, the joys of aging.


Cheryl, thanks for updating us on Dawn. Poor thing. It's super sweet what she's doing though.
